Nile Ranger this week received a stern public message from his manager Alan Pardew which basically said shape up or ship out.

Nile Joined the club as a free agent in July 2008 as part of the Dennis Wise push to bring in young talent. He arrived with a bad reputation after being released by Southampton for a breech of club discipline. Southampton had already given Nile a second chance after he was sentenced to 11 weeks at a young offenders institute for his involvement in a robbery.

Nile arrived at NUFC with the chance to rebuild his young career at a massive club. Many thought that the move out of London away from all the bad influences would be a ideal move for him. This looked like it was the perfect move and Ranger settled in well at Newcastle. He scored a bag full of goals at the junior level and was quickly promoted to the reserve squad. This promising form led to him being awarded the 'Wor Jackie Milburn trophy' in 2009 which highlighted him as the clubs best up and coming player.

Aye, hopefully he's starting to realise it takes hard work to be a good footballer.

Was he injured on saturday or what? Cause me and my dad saw him driving along scotswood road in his white range rover on saturday and he was driving like a twat under took someone and ran a bit of a red light, and we were listening on the radio and there was no reason given why he was missing, tbh now with him now after all the stuff thats coming out about a bad attitude and acting like a ganster (cock) we should dump him, I don't want young lads playing for my club and not giving a flying **** which seems to be his attitude. All of us would give everything to be in his position and he seems to be more interested in being a ganster.

Doesn't seem to understand that he needs to put a lot of effort in, not just in games but training as well.
Would be a shame to waste that potential.

Personally I think theres a lot of potential with Ranger and theres a very good player in there, he seems to try hard when he gets his 20 minute sub appearances (Which isnt enough IMO) and to those of you saying just "dump him" if we had done that with Carroll we would be 35 million quid poorer, hes worth holding onto until hes been given a fair crack of the whip, then if hes still nowt special, ship him out or whack him on loan.

I wouldnt be too happy either if I was constantly being second best to that useless twat Lovenkrands every week.

Agreed, he does try hard in his short cameos, no one can deny that. He looks a class player.
Straightens himself out and we'll have a cracking player. Get behind the lad now and he'll repay us for sure.
