12pm the day before the match I think - Wouldn't be surprised if we did an emergency loan so that he could feature vs Cardiff and then tie up a permanent deal after the game - Like Middlesbrough did with Juke.
Seems to be rushed and I think this will only help Saints (maybe) reach the Prem. But don't think it'll be anymore than that. Hope I'm proved wrong
Maybe he had hgher hopes for Doncaster this season, and so only wanted to leave if a good local offer came in. And maybe he waited this long into the mid-season window to see what other offers came to fruition - must have been a lot mentioned to him in private, and when making such a big decision to leave your roots, he wanted to make sure he waited out each of the offers. Am surprised, for example, someone like Bolton didn't come in for him. A club like that would have been Premiership and more local, so would be a better offer on both counts than Saints. Saints may always have been in the running, and he heard out offers from Leicester, Ipswich, Reading etc. and obviously wanted to stay red and white. Maybe his decision was that he just wanted to stay in a striped kit, but preferred a move to the vertical variety! Either way, we look in a good position to get him. Asuming nothing until it's on OS, though!
I am absolutely buzzing here...if he is signed in time to play on Tuesday I will probably have to skive off work.
In his 5 live interview (which was inspirational) he said that they were aware of the condition months in advance Fran.
If we reach the Premiership, we'll have much less difficulty signing players with Prem experience/potential. And as we haven't exactly broken the bank to get him, the money will be there then.
Ok he is a good signing. But he rejected us in the summer. If i was saints i would look at other options. Also how much are his wages gunna be. if he is going to earn more than Lallana and Lambert then i wouldnt want him
