Read this in the sun today. Good old holty!! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4095201/Millwall-1-Southampton-1.html
Yeah, I appreciate he's done really well for Norwich, but my memories are of him being a proper pleb in the JPT a few years back.
He is without doubt the type of player you hate if he's not yours, but the type of player you absolutely love, if he is. Robert Fleck anyone.
Cant remember what happened in the JPT???? All i remember was a SH#T week day night game against brentford or some one where I think Goran Maric played his one and onl game for us! Too true Carra, Players like holt are great unless they playing against you!!!
Why the bitching? It's actually a good article and Lambert is looking to follow in Holt's footsteps! Plus I like Norwich
How Lambert never played above league 1 till we got him is the real mystery. Under Adkins he has become a very valuable player with his all round play. Deserves a chance in the PL..hope for him and us he gets the chance.
Well said. You should all love Holt, as if it wasn't for him, you wouldn't of had your day out and cup win at Wembley.
Personally, I'd like to do a Norwich. Then next year, promoted teams will talk of doing a Southampton
I like to think Saints and Norwich can be buddies. Since that day in 2005 we have both had some crap years. I don't like to say "doing a Norwich" too often but you showed it can be done and hopefully we can follow. Plus I like to Andy Surman do well.
Remember a match where the Norwich fans turned up with inflatables (toys not women) and they looked like they were having a great time..had a soft spot ever since.
Nothing wrong with wanting to be like him as a player. Wouldn't want to be like him as a person though.
Yep, I had one of those inflatable Canaries They were all the rage in the era and I recall seeing Grimsby Town with all their "Harry Haddock's" in an FA Cup game on TV! Same season (I think) we played West Ham in the cup and our lads took a 16 foot inflatable shark in! Must have taken some blowing up
What did he do? My only knowledge of his personality is seeing him begging the ref not to unfairly send off Joey Barton!
what a strange post! the most down-to-earth, likeable chap you could ever wish to meet. are you confusing him with joey barton or john terry maybe???
