According to skysports Billy sharp is having a medical with us would be a good signing in my opinion http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11734/7465938/Sharp-in-Saints-medical
You beat me to it haha, i just posted exactly the same, maybe mods could merge threads Done as requested no problems
Great news! Don't want to get too excited just yet, but if it happens, this will make my window! With Sharp in, and hopefully some defensive cover, and then Lallana, Chaplow, and Jos back, and Puncheon fighting for a place, we could be formidable for the run-in. COYR!
You can hear the Pompey fans already saying we'll have a fat front two. Don't diss what you can't afford I suppose. Adkins will get the best out of him. I hope he's happy in the knowledge that he wasn't our first choice though. Turned down a move to Leicester earlier in the month so he clearly feels we're more likely to get to the Premier League.
Hmm, good player but not sure he can cut it at a big club... Also, I'd have preferred a big man myself like Jutkiewicz for when Lambert drifts out wide and we put crosses into the box.
Just glad we have played you twice. He could be your missing link to automatic promotion. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Watched the Juke against Sunderland, he was ok but I wasn't too impressed (although tough game against Sunderland) I think Sharp will complement Lambert more, as different in style.
Seems a bit last choice desperation to me. However there is no doubting he can score goals. The biggest and happiest part of this signing is the bloke is just the kind of player who will fit in with this club and a great person on and off the field his conduct is second to none.
I think Barnard might go out on loan now to get some much needed match fitness and hoepfully come back fit and fighting! That leaves us with Lambert, Lee, Connolly, Guly and Sharp - Connolly won't last beyond this season imo
