After scoring a sublime curling free-kick to send Ghana on their way to a 2-0 win over Mali in Gabon on Saturday, Asamoah Gyan bluntly reminded everyone how good he thinks he is. "Everybody who plays against Ghana comes at us strong," said the former Sunderland striker. "Everybody playing against Ghana will be going against Asamoah Gyan. I've been the lone striker six years. Everybody knows. It's not my fault. This shows how great I am." As well as referring to himself in the third person and telling reporters how great he was, Gyan called Ghana "my boys". He said: "We hope to make Ghana proud by winning each game." http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/international/ghanas-gyan-im-the-greatest-6296524.html As for being ex Sunderland, I think thats a little off key, this bloke is starting to piss me off, at first I thought it was all down to Brucie, now Im not so sure.
He's just having fun, mate. Did Ali piss you off? Does Mourinho piss you off? It's all just sh*t for the press. None of them believe it when they get home, y'know.
Its the journo's who said ex sunderland, not Gyan himself... If he is confident, then that is great for us if he comes back to play under MON.
He's the greatest...........in his own words.. So lets hope one of the greatest teams come in for him, with a rather large transfer fee..............
Sorry chap. We've just bought Cisse and as such, funds are a bit short... How are you all by the way? Been ages since I've popped over.
Ali's arrogance was justified. Mourinho's is justified. What has Gyan done to speak like that? Nothing
The difference being that Ali put his boxing ability on the line to support this statement, and was undisputed champion of the world...Gyan on the other hand has not shown yet that he can cut it in the Premiership over the course of a season..
