what the hell happened to this guy? well we all know, partys etc, but what a fall from grace. 5 years ago, at 24 years old he was one of if not the best striker in europe. lethal for his country, and had a rocket of a left foot. he's only 29. might be worth a gamble. who knows what new surroundings and a fresh start could do. if wages are reasonable..might just be worth the gamble.
I think it all went downhill for him when his father died. Lost his passion for football and started acting very unprofessionally ever since , it's a pity as he was/is a great footballer , you don't just lose all that talent.
ahh did that happen whilst he was still at inter? i didnt know about that. he did look back to something like his best when he went to flamengo and did well in their version of the champs league. still worth a game if wages aren't extortionate, even if its just a 14 or 15 month contract to take him up until next july. i'd be surprised if he's still a free agent come april. in fact i'll give it a week before hes at a club.

I definitely wouldn't take him on a permanent deal as you've seen what happens when you do that. They terminated his deal and I can imagine they had to pay a hell of a lot of compensation for that. Yes , I think it did start to go downhill at Inter , unfortunately.
