I still think he should go under his own steam and take those two dummies on the board with him. We need fresh input into this club or nothing will ever get better.
Tough Guy eh? Good job you arent a Man Utd, Man City or a Chelsea fan - presumably your requirements for their managers would be much higher? Which makes your requirement for Wenger seem a bit unreasonable.
Do you actually consider us to be a big club? Because from the sounds of it you think we should be grateful that we are not mid-table. Yes other clubs may have bigger spending power than us but you make it seem like half the premiership are owned by billionaires. In reality only 3 other clubs in the premiership can give players higher wages than we do and it is not possible for them to buy every good player. Why should we be delighted to simply finish in the top 4 every season when we should be able to expect more?
Im just saying it is a tough old world, when there are three trophies and three clubs bigger than us, yet our manager can only consider his performance average, if he wins a trophy and finishes in the top 4.
Toledo - but that has been the case in recent modern history .. but we have managed to win leagues, FA Cups and do doubles during that time. Since the 70s Liverpool and Man U were bigger than us, then Everton had a brief period of domination in the 80s. The argument doesn't wash that there are bigger teams than us or the money argument. We were able to turn the tables before so we can do it again but we can only do that when we start buying players fit for purpose.
To be fair, they weren't gifted they were earned. That's what happens if you get people charging into the box. Gifted would be if it was a harsh penalty to give, not stonewall like those 2.
Agreed, those were not gifted penalties, just bad defending from Aston Villa. The penalty that Ramsey enduced was excellent as he lost control of the ball but enticed Dunn to tackle recklessly.
Plus you could justifiably argue that Dunne should have been sent off for the 1st pen, which would have given us more chances.
