I saw the Garner dive, and yep, it was blatant, but Chris Foy was being screamed at from the Rookery a heap of times, the Parker tackle, a few hand balls that didn't get the whistle, and a couple of other tackles that would have won free kicks with other refs. Having said that, Spurs were not a dirty team, there are many clubs we've played this year when you wonder how the pushing and tugging and holding down in the box doesn't win penalties. Not so with Spurs. Clean team, clean game, bad ref.

I apologise to my fellow hornets, you will all know that i am not usually like this. But things have to be said. Watford out played Spurs and the stats prove it. We were very unlucky not to score 4-5. But thats how these things go, when you consider that you are a premiership team, the result is very good to Watford. Most bookies had Spurs favourite to win by at least 3/4. Then you take into account that Emmanuel Adebayor was completely ineffective against Marriappa. The height difference between the two is Emmanuel Adebayor- 6"2' and Mapps 5"10', yet Mapps won every header and shut out Adebayor. Then we have the fact that at least 8 of the Spurs team are full internationals it is even more spectacular!

You are a self-righteous arrogant prat! You could argue that several Spurs players went down very easily under challenges from much smaller players. The game was not boring, but mainly because (as all pundits agree) Watford were dominating a far bigger team. You did not sell ALL your tickets, there were hundreds of spaces in the VR end, clearly many Spurs fans are still recovering from the riots and cannot afford to make the short trip. I for one am a student and am currently out of a job (but not claiming benefits or anything) and still made the 72mile journey down from Cambridge and have just got back after visiting family. Our so called thread bare support was better than your 'sold out' support. I know you will probably wont listen to what i say, so try listening to what your manager had to say

That was Harry Redknapp after the match. The link is here if you want to check http://www.itv.com/sport/football/facup/matchhighlights/

In future you might want to reign in your ego. You are not all powerful and invincible, you are human just like the rest of us.

That's the only part I'd disagree with Dan, but well said for the rest of it ;)

I know this looks like a lively debate, but can we just forget about it and move on! Or lock the thread so it can go away and not raise it's head again as I am bored to death of it. They won so what, we know who played better on the night, the result well that read Watford 0. Again so what! We know that no matter how you play, there are games when the other team win<yikes> Please consign this thread to the bin!

Sorry Al, i would not have posted, but he has offended me in his comments and this was the first time i was able to get online to offer my reply. Once he has had the chance to reply i will lock it and it can drop away.

Yes, i know my spelling and grammar is poor. But i have been told i am likely to have Dyslexia, but have been unable to be tested yet.

I wont deny that we lost, but we played much better! There is no way you can deny that. Your manager even said it!

The pitch was actually in good nick compared to previous seasons. But if you are the great team Ghoddle10 says you are, you should be able to play on any type of pitch.

I am happy to move on, i just was not happy at being insulted by a keyboard warrior when he was being arrogant and abusive. My quarrel is not with you.

Closure time methinks Dan - you missed your opportunity to point out his poorly constructed sentence alluding to your student status. It seems he is not as perfect as his username tries to suggest.
