Potential banana skin for Stoke and Birmingham could well give Chelsea a game. Can see Crawley V Stoke or Stevenage V Spurs been televised.
Well it's that battle of lower league HOOFBALL against the more attractive passing game of proper football. You know where I'm going with this don't you?
if we had fluked a draw, it would have been Tuesday night in France for the replay then Stoke Hoofs & Tree Stumps in round 5. On reflection we are better out of it! Should be interesting seeing Round 5 starring Zook Emma at the back for Crawley agen Kenwyn and the giants from Stewk. 4th division stuff at its best!
My predictions for TV: Stevenage vs Spurs Crawley vs Stoke Sunderland/Boro vs Arsenal/Villa Liverpool vs Brighton Milwall/Soton vs Bolton Four follow the typical 'away team bigger team' formula whilst Liverpool are the highest ratings drawing team left in the competition.
of course, had we won, then our number would not have been 4 so does anyone want to work it out? So for all who like a bit of 'Bully': "This is what you could have won!"
Yes it would. In the 4th Round draw there's no new teams to be added (in 3rd Round PL and Championship are alphabetically given 1-44) so it's done by the order the games were drawn in the 3rd Round. Hull vs Crawley was the 4th tie to be drawn so would always have been number 4 in this round.
which match are going to watch on the 18th then? another blank weekend for us as Brighton are still in the cup. with Cardiff in the League Cup the next weekend that will be two blank weekends in a row. that gap could work against us losing momentum and match practice. getting knocked out of the cup was a bad thing.
Cardiff are playing Ipswich on the Saturday, and then the Cup Final the following Sunday. Lets try and play them midweek in the gap. It'll stop Cardiff having a backlog as well.
With all the kind comments made about my beloved CTFC made by you guys & gals on various forums can we count on your remote support against Stoke, with 15k of your fans willing us on by thought alone will assist us in achieving one more step on getting to Wembley. (We can live in hope) follow the dream. Three years ago I was in a mini bus when all of 12 us went to Halifax and got beat 3-0, how time changes.
I'm going for all the lower league sides now. If for no other reason than the FA Cup Final is the same weekend as the last league games of the season for L1 and L2. It'll really give the FL a headache trying to solve the problem of all the games having to be played at the same time if a team with something to play for on the last day is also in the FA Cup Final.
Some information for you Ricardio: Sensitive talks are in progress between the FA and Premier League to ensure the showcase Wembley FA Cup final has the spotlight to itself this season. The FA have commissioned a Deloitte report to demonstrate the financial importance of their flagship tournament — increasingly overshadowed by Premier League and Champions League football. They would like the final on May 5, with a newly scheduled 5.15pm kick-off, to be the only top-flight match that Saturday. The Premier League are prepared to move almost all their full programme of fixtures to the following day, although the Football League will have League One and Two games on May 5. And there is still a likelihood of one 12.45pm PL start on the Saturday because of the Sky contract. If English clubs were to reach the final of the Europa League the following Wednesday, they would also want to play on Cup final day to maximise preparation time. The report on the impact of the FA Cup — albeit from information supplied by the FA —* focuses on seven case studies of clubs from Stoke down to Havant & Waterlooville. It states that the tournament has generated £650million in 10 years. And the FA want to use the findings along with the impetus from new sponsors Budweiser and William Hill to bang the drum. FA general secretary Alex Horne said: ‘This is an opportunity to highlight the competition, we’re not doing this from a defensive Position.'
