Syd you know I love you dearly but Iam at a loss as to how you can be unhappy with the way we re playing..other than today we re picking up decent results and when we do lose its very narrow..for me we have tightened up our defence and playing with much more confidence
I'm still soaking wet as well syd, ****ing football matches. Anyway back to your points I can see where you are coming from and if I'm honest I'd rather we were watching flowing attacking football but, as some have already said I think it's MON doing what he can with what he has been left with. Not sure where the digs at MON or your liking of Hughes came into it must have been busy them days but, each to their own.
Have to disagree with the bit in bold yes MoN is having to make do with what he has at the moment it's a side he's inherited and he's having to try to adapt his approach with what he has and it's working. Agree his tactic's won't change and agree we will see some good signing's from MoN come next season.
Absolutely spot on mate, there's no pleasing some people!! I've come t the conclusion that some on here just like moaning whatever!! Unbelievable!!
Sorry I really enjoyed today, very cold but plaed excellent football, midfield dominated and strikers on top form. An unlucky draw but enjoyed every minute of the game. Sod being honest with people, some people dont like honesty.
Because you have had regular digs at Mon since day one Syd whether you like that or not, most notably having a dig because inside 7 weeks he hasn't replaced Bent yet? It's ridiculous. Everyone, including and none more so than the man himself, knows that we are very short up front and 2 or 3 other positions as well but that's the fault of the previous incumbent not him. We would all love a top striker this window but it is just too early for Mon to find one, talk to him and get him to sign. For a start, he was selling a club with one foot in the championship up until the end of December. Who, with any quality, would have signed for us? We have seen Campbell make his comeback today and he has the potential to explode for the rest of the campaign now. That was a class goal for a lad 18 months out of the game. Then there is Gyan. We simply don't know what is going to happen in 3 months time. I'm not having a pop Syd just for the sake of it, just Iam a little frustrated that you would get on Mon's case after 8 short weeks, when you often criticised me for having a pop at Bruce after if had 2 YEARS. It's not a little hypocritical, its massively hypocritical imo.
Chill out syd have a glass of Scotlands finest and warm them aged bones of yours, it'll look better in the morning or when Osca needs his walkies.
Not going to slaughter you . To me this board is all about opinions and you're entitled to yours. Don't disagree with you about quality of football, but just enjoying coming away from SoL with smile on my face instead of sulking. What I do find surprising is you debating wether to go on Weds. Maybe it's because I lived away for a lot of years and didn't get to many games , but now I'm back living in Sunderland I would never not go to a game regardless of how team are doing. They're my team and I will back them always and in person whenever I can
Then what's your beef? You enjoyed today but we are that boring to watch you're thinking of not going on Wednesday? Have you got a split personality or something, or have you forgotten what its like to win games after 11 horrible Bruce months and you don't know how to react now? I'm confused.
I was taking the piss, maybe thats the problem Cest, you just dont understand me. Saying we need a striker is not having a go at MON, he also knows we need one and he will get one in I think. I like MON and have high hopes for him but saying all is not well does not mean I am against him.
Well I'm done on this, maybe the best thing that could or should of happened is that we didn't get boro in the 4th round, this thread wouldn't have occured.
if you didnt like the performance, nor MONs tactics up to now thats fair enough - even if i dont agree, cos his tactics are getting us points from good, bad and average teams which I wouldnt have dreamed of the last couple of seasons; however i think its the stay a home line that has got people's back up. I cant recall you saying that when Bruce was in charge (i could have missed it though)
