    I know its early days
    I know we sit 10th
I know we could go 8th
I know we are still in the cup
    I like MON
I think he could take us a long way
I know we still have big changes coming

    BUT, being honest

I cant get used to this sit back and hit them on the break thing
    I was bored against Swansea
I cant say I enjoyed today
I'm seriously thinking of watching on Sky on Wednesday

    Sorry

Think he's doing the best he can with what he's got Syd I for one will not be giving you a hard time rather we played attacking football but the results are going for us

    I agree Syd.

    Is our honeymoon period over?

Think the tactics can work to a point but I feel MoN has no other choice considering what he has at his disposal.

I know it was a cup tie today and a supposedly local derby, but I do feel we need to perform better come Wed's,
let's hope we can still get the result's to keep us comfortably in this league, then summer have some refreshing
    ideas.

Honesty is the best policy Syd and i cant argue with how you feel.

I really worry about the finances at the club is Davies is the main target as he cant get into the Bolton side and will not help towards better passing. On the plus side if we can use his strengths then we may be able to use him to build up play further up the field. Must admit im worried though if Ngog gets in the team before him though. Norwich will be tough, ive been really impressed with them.

    Fair enough.

I just like winning, I honestly don't care how we play our football.

    I love MON

Syd no matter how the lads play, I have to watch on a laptop, sometimes the screen is mostly frozen, and the commentary comes and goes, so watching on sky for me would be a blessing. But not for you, because you know deep down, you will be going to the match. As they say tomorrows another day.

get used to it, cos, imo, that is how MON sets his teams up.

Swansea and Arsenal will probably be the worst, MON will set us up to allow them to pass the ball about in their own half and hit them whenever we have the chance with 20 to 30% possession we have.

Having said that, I enjoyed todays game and thought both sides gave good performances....

Its just strange mate than with mere days left we are still lacking in positions even if just temps, i cant hide dissapointment i feel that we are going to let MON's fantastic start go without building on it.

I can't argue with much of what you said, but it's a tactic that has got us out of the **** <ok>

One draw against Boro in the cup and its suddenly doom and gloom......Haway lads give it time, what needed to be done to get points is being done, Lets see MoN's team next season before we pass judgement. If Bruce was still here, we could have been cut adrift at the bottom of the league and probably lost to Peterborough in the cup.

I wanted Hughes over O'Neill because O'Neill's not a pretty football man.

Having said this after the results he's managed in his first six weeks or so I'm not fussed about pretty football either.

Its not doom and gloom mate, i cant speak for Syd but personally im just worried that we dont use the last two months to build on and let it simmer down. I want to trust MON 100% but its hard being a SAFC fan and feeling like we have not grasped the big time so many times when being so close. Again MON has done a wonderful job just want to progress while we can, always better to build when you are in a position of strength.

this and the fact O'neil wont want to buy a 10 to 15 million striker without having seen a fully fit and match sharp Wickham /Campbell and the Gyan situation is sorted out.

Wickham looked exhausted after 30 minutes today, and was lacking pace, but he showed enough (some of his flick ons were great) to make me believe we have a good player on our hands. Campbell just gives us another great option up front, his pace will scare most defences. he ran 80 yards flat out for his goal today.

ANd if Ji comes good as well.....

Gyan, Wickham, Campbell, Ji, Sess and Bendter/other would be a very strong group to choose from.

I know we all have opinions to make, but I have to disagree on this. I'm glad we got MoN as manager I was hoping we got him a few year's ago.

Unfortunately he's having to make do with a side inherited from Bruce so it's going to be alien for him, to come in and do what he has done in such a short time, is in my opinion a bloody miracle.

It's going to take time before we are going to see further progress and I hope it's with MoN as our manager for a while at least.

Well imo you've been digging away about Mon since it was announced if was our new manager. Despite you saying you are generally happy, its apparent you are not and yet knock him constantly for no reason.

Now, whether its because Hughes was your prefered choice and you're just pissed that Mon got the nod, or that you'd have sooner seem Bruce retained and allowed more time but this sly daily dig at Mon is very obvious now and very tiresome imo.

He was thrown a broken football team back on December 4th and told to fix it quickly and prevent relegation. That he has managed to do so with such incredible speed is beyond anyones comprehension. That he has done it with the same bunch of demoralized lads that had us 3rd bottom after 11 games and out of the league cup with a whimper is nothing short of a miracle.

I seriously wonder about some fans at times. Perhaps you prefered us at the bottom of the league and whipping boys for all and sundry? Maybe you think we should now be challenging for champions league places? After all he has had 8 games now to take up to a new level? Perhaps you thought the football Bruce served up was far superior and entertaining? I mean, that Wigan game prior to his sacking was the stuff of dreams wasn't it? Or was that nightmares?

Now because he (Mon) hasn't waved a magic wand in 8 weeks and bought 3 or 4 huge names, to satisfy your demands, the football we are playing is ****e? We are boring to watch? You are considering staying at home Wednesday? What on earth are wor on about?

FFS Syd what do you think he could have done in 8 games that he already hasn't? Give the bloke a fair crack of the whip and a couple of years to stamp his mark.

    I give up.

I think we do them a disservice not to give Boro a lot of credit for going all out. It wasn't awful pretty, but it was a rollicking good cup tie.
