Great draw. If my memory is correct we had the Foxes at home in the 60's in the last 8. Lost then though. Big win this time.
What an opportunity we have to go far in this competition Can't wait, Carrow Road will be rocking, when do tickets come on sale?
Leicester are a dangerous opponent but i'd fancy us against anyone at Carrow Road. Just a shame more of the top sides weren't drawn against each other. Cannot see many shocks in the next round looking at those ties.
Could very much depend how they feel on the day, they are so erratic in the league it is hard to know what to expect from them.
Its the cup - Of course anyone can beat anyone over a one off 90 minute game but even if all the ties went to form and league position we would still have a chance of playing Bolton, Everton or Stoke in the next round and these are decidedly winnable games, even away from home!
My Predictions: MILLWALL or SOUTHAMPTON v BOLTON SUNDERLAND or MIDDLESBROUGH v ARSENAL or ASTON VILLA NORWICH v LEICESTER STEVENAGE v TOTTENHAM CRAWLEY v STOKE CHELSEA v BIRMINGHAM EVERTON v BLACKPOOL or SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY LIVERPOOL v BRIGHTON --- So I have: Southampton, Arsenal, Norwich, Spurs, Stoke, Chelsea, Blackpool and Brighton With the ensuing draw, irrespective or home/away: Southampton vs. Brighton (South-Coast derby) Arsenal vs. Spurs (London derby, fantastic to watch on TV, if we have an away tie at Blackpool) Norwich vs. Blackpool (So we FINALLY prove that Blackpool were a bunch of loosers and that we are better in every sense, shut the sodding media pundits up!) Chelsea vs. Stoke (interesting match-up)
Point taken and let's not forget we have to do a job on a Leicester side that are as good one week as they are bad the next otherewise we could all end up with egg on our faces!
It's a great draw for us, less of a banana skin than Crawley or Stevenage and certainly winnable BUT we, along with Bolton against Southampton/Millwall would have to be considered one of the most likely upsets.
That's very true, and on the same subject, I wish Sunderland hadn't been so poor today! I hope it doesn't mean their next opponents are going to suffer!
My concern for the sunderland match is do we play Martin or Naugton at rightback, poor ol rusty had a poor game at WBA, and who is going to support him in the right midfield spot. February will be a great month, 3 victories before the cup game, then into the quarter finals, followed by beating man utd with a last minute goal, to get to 41 points and PL survival. Easy
