Official UEFA figures says 68 % to 32 % in Barcas favour. Still pretty bad. Possibly be worse against us!!!
Hoping so, Got you lot on Saturday and a week off before West Brom and then a 2 week break. RVP should play, got a rest 2nd half so has only played 50 minutes in 9 days. Hoping Fab came off just because he was tired and not aggrivated his hamstring again. I think it will be a strong team...maybe one or 2 switches in defence and midfield but hopefully enough to do a job. What do you think your team will look like with Marseille a few days later?
You'd think Wenger will play his strongest team, with the extended rest. But much like Fergie, he occasionally makes puzzling decisions. A bit like when he left Arshavin out of the 2009 FA Cup semi vs Chelsea prior to the CL tie vs United- despite the fact Arshavin was cup-tied and couldn't play United anyway! I don't reckon he'll play BOTH RvP and Fabregas, but you never know. As for United, I think Fergie will see this game as vital for regaining lost morale. The last thing we want after losing consecutive games to 2 major rivals is to get knocked out the cup by our closest rivals for the PL.
I know they aren't overrated, I just meant that the British media, so used to watching players who rely on power and pace and not genuine footballing ability, have gone on and on about them so much I'm actually just sick of them. In a way they're too good. I'd rather watch Altrincham than Barca, and I know I'm in an increasingly small minority.
Gazza Bazza is a legend! I love the way he's one footed, can't head a ball and earns as much as my clubs entire squad (bar Jimmy Bullard, the ****) each week.
I have to say, Man City fans would be pretty pissed of reading my last comment. After all, it comes to something when your clubs worth more than Africa and yet still can't attract a better midfielder than Barry, who's so poor he gets bullied by a Hull City fan.
I think most people outside of Manchester see him as City's very own Juan Sebastien Veron - came with a half-decent reputation after impressing at his previous club, only to show that Winston Bogarde wouldn't have it all his own way in the next 'Worst Premier League Signing Ever' vote.
I'd also rather watch Altrincham. But then I'm from Altrincham, so that may explain it. Good choice of comparison club
I went for them because I know the town's in the Greater Manchester area (and also because I take an interest in the BSP and, let's be honest, they aren't doing too well).
