He'll do alright he will, that was decent enough run. Tell you what, that ground is getting softer by the minute, don't you think? Your horse set a good standard there, only beaten 8L in Grade 3 last time out, so that was a nice price in context, great shout.
Topclass yes decent price - would have been on Thomas Edison but obv a NR The ground looked very soft there the runner up was hacking along but couldn't quicken in it - the 7lbs made the difference
SEVENTH SKY 14/1 e.w at Ffos Las. Ran some nice enough races on the flat for Peter Shiergen, winning twice up to a mile and a half. Last sighted in a German Group1, finishing 5th of 6, beaten 8 lengths. Has shown enough flat ability to be of interest in this sort of race at the prices. Cover bet on Reste Gosse who shaped well enough on debut for the Hoibbbs team.
Nice one RV. The softening ground will suit Flemenstar who I notice is being backed again.Went from 6's to 9/4 jt fav on seasonal debut but finished only second. Slightly disappointing turn out for a G1 tbh.
Nothing Ron. Went out yesterday afternoon and left the laptop on with firefox running on the Sporting Life website. Came home later and the screen had gone into hibernation - nothing weird there. Usually a quick touch of the mousepad and the screen comes back, but this time it didn't. Tried multiple key presses and ctrl/alt/del but nothing happened so I have to do a hard power reset. Hasn't booted since then.
Well done RV Got 2/1 on Flemenstar earlier (in a double with HF at 1/2 - pays 7/2) but has shortened significantly since then
lads BLACKSTAIRMOUNTAIN in the next - high class horse on his day - strong travelling type and actually found for pressure last time out which was surprising. Will handle the ground and is a much better horse than Lambro who gave Flemenstar a good race last time out. Notus the bigger danger imo jock went too early on him last time out- more than happy with 2s on BSM though
Jockey's opinion of the ground After riding in the opening race, this is what a selection of jockeys had to say about the ground. Winning jockey Robbie Power: "It's soft to heavy and certainly won't be ideal for Oscars Well." Andrew McNamara: "It's very hard work and after a few races I can see it getting very soft." Davy Russell: "It's soft to heavy."
Agree RV. Blackstairmountain is well overpriced at 2/1. Proven group one performer. No bet though. Nothing in the account until 3.15 this afty.
I'm worried that The Fly has to run on very soft first time up. Can't see him beaten though but what impact will that have for Cheltenham? Fly Thousand Stars forecast is my prediction in that one.
Quel I am still undecided starting to sway towards Boston Bob now will put up before the off who I have gone with
Cheers, for the well wishes, just an MRI scan. Wonderful staff today, full marks to them. Oddy, it seems you have a hardware failure. Search POST tests and try that.
