GK's bart and kelv. NOW THATS ONE HEALTHY SQUAD!!!!
Looked at Adkins interview on Player. My opinion, for what it's worth, based on facial expression, Collins is someone we're trying to sign but others have nearly got to the point of signing and haven't, so he won't say anything until pen's on paper. He mentioned the loan window, but added that we are still in a place where we can sign players, so looks like he's still hopeful there. You can't always get what's going on from the written word, you have to see the face at the same time. I will add he looked genuinely content about the Millwall game, not forced positivity. Extra games don't seem to phase him. Also good to see Punch clapping the fans in the footage.
I think we may have a rough idea of any deadline day movement, as Sibley is sure to Tweet in the morning and throughout the day on Tuesday.
Heard the fee for Collins' move to be made permanent is £1m. The loan is a good move but that seems like a lot for a 31 year old who is not exactly proven at premier league level and is likely to only be a backup for us. I guess we'll see how he does, but I'm not sure we should take up that option!
Did you 'hear' that from your old friend Mr. D. Star ?? - http://www.dailystar.co.uk/posts/vi...el-Adkins-wants-Stoke-defender-Danny-Collins/
Yes, what's the problem with using that word? I'm not claiming to know anything that isn't openly available.
Just wondered. Not trying to start a row, but "heard" and "read", when the article is widely available intimates that you are trying to paint a different picture.
Haha, no. I think you'll find 'heard' means more than literally hearing something. Nothing of that sort intended, I was just giving my opinion on a bit of gossip. That's what this thread is for isn't it?
Meh, nothing news for me. It's not like Hooper's contract is up in the summer, so so what that contract talks have broken down? Unless Hooper demands a move in the next 48 hours, that's hardly enough for Celtic to change their stance and suddenly be willing to sell. They can always sell him in the summer (after, hopefully from their point of view, he's fired them to the title and into the Champions League) if needs be. I've always slightly suspected that Hooper isn't interested in moving here, and him and his agent are simply using our interest to get him a new contract and the two of them some more money (and fair play to them). Well that would appear to indeed be the case - only Celtic, to their credit, aren't playing ball.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/-ohne-berater/details/berater_96.html - Hooper's agent certainly has some big clients
God, so his contract isn't even up next summer either! Interesting though to see that that website has his market value at £4 million. So maybe we could stop being accused of starting our bidding at way below his value?
Indeed, although this guy also claims to be his agent, he is a lawyer who specialises in Sports Management: http://www.sjdentmgt.com/Our-Clients/ Probably more likely to be this guy, who says they have recently welcomed Hooper to their Agency.
'Ohne Berater' is German for 'without agent' I guess that suggests this site is not quite 100% accurate...
