I get a constant barrage of endless moaning and bitching from my girlfriend regarding my love for Southampton F.C. If I am going to the game I get bitched at because apparently I could be spending the money on taking her out to some crap concert or for dinner. If I tell her " I can't see you tonight I am staying in listening to the game with a few beers" then I am the worlds worst person. I wish she would run off with somebody else! So my question is does anybody else put up with such **** as me from their partner and in if so in what way? And ultimately if it come down to it who would you chose? Female saints open to comment also if your old man gives you grief! This is just a bit of fun.
Funny you should mention this; when i was with my ex saints drew pompey in the cup over valentines day weekend. We were having dramas as it was and she said i needed to stay with her valentines day or it was over. I simply cc'd her into my train booking confirmation email and never saw her again. It was no contest!!
simple. Ask her how long you've been together. Answer is x years. then tell he that you've loved her for x years, but you have loved Saints for x plus y years!

I'm lucky because my bubs is a massive saints fan and has a season ticket with me.The one thing that does grind on me with girls who try to control there boyfriends hobby is why can they do what they like? be interested in make-up,going clothes shopping and the like but when it comes to the bloke there's a big deal made out of it! My advice to you is tell her to stop doing any of her hobbies and see how she likes it! Bloody cheek!
If there are any ladies reading this, take note. Being taken out for a dinner or concert is not a romantic gesture if you've demanded it, it should be spontaneous. Stop being so selfish and materialistic. I have no time for girls like that. Saints over her any day.
Nope didnt regret it for a minute. I was so far out of her league she shouldnt have been issuing ultimatums. She should have just counted her blessings she got to wake up next to me each morning!
It is amazing some of the crap women put up with though and you have to admire them... I wonder how often they tell themselves that things WILL get better...
Yeah I take that into consideration however I don't moan if she wants to go out with friends or spunk loads of money on makeup and other crap I see her 4 times a week surely that's enough! What I do in my spare time should be up to me I work to pay for the things I love! And also work to pay for some things she likes also!
If it was not for my wife i would not have two sons who share my passion for SFC and come with me to matches and she also has to tolerate pretty much constant football talk almost every day including the summer months. Now i am a very lucky man as we have been together 27 years and she has come to understand the importance of the saints to me and even makes sure we have our vests on when attending SMS on cold days.Given what she puts up with from us if any one is a saint its her
I was gonna call him out on his use of the word bubs as well... NOT ON. I don't know whats worse, girls being moany about football or trying to get involved. I went with an ex to a saints game, just me and her. So annoying explaining what was happening. The worst thing is when I started talking about tactics/how players were doing, completely forgetting that she wouldn't have a clue what I was on about. Just turned and saw a blank stare on her face.
