    No wonder Shola plays, especially when you have fans who love him, even though they know he's ****e.

    I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU


    I honestly think most people on here are either deluded or just completly bereft of footballing accumen, do they watch the same game?

    Do they just follow the ball like sheep or view off the ball movement aswell?

    I just dont get how people can be so utterly deluded, the facts speak for themselves his goal to game ratio is 0.19.

    Shola didn't miss three chances today because he never got himself into position to miss any
    he may lay the ball off to others, but then just to stand still and admire your work is unbelieveable

    Shame that '****' wasn't put away by Best who was worse then Shola today. Everyone deserves criticism today, not just Shola.

    Best wasnt worse than shola at all, he missed his chances but at least he tried, and he battled, he was a far more useful asset to the team.

    Miserable game for all NUFC supporters really......All we can do is hope for our league form to hold up and that the team stays healthy so we can challenge for Europe now..

    Shola was horrendous, best may have missed his chances but he got into good positions and worked hard. Shola was diabolical, beyond the pass for best he did nothing all match. Would have prefered Alan Smith up front

    Shola held up almost everything and got it on to a Newcastle player time and time again, Best showed some good skills, didn't set anyone up and was generally ****e (everyone was ****e).

    Some people try to defend Shola but they miss one vital fact:

    He's a striker.

    Let me repeat it again:

    He's a striker.

    What is a striker there for? What is his MAJOR MAJOR PRIMARY function?

    That's right, to score goals.

    How many does he have this season? 1 goal in 16 appearances. Do some of you pro-Shola people realise that this is a striker, a front man, a target man, who has a ratio of 1 goal in 16 appearances? That's worse than many defenders.

    He can supposedly have any attributes he likes, but if he can't fulfil the whole ****ing point of him being there, then he's an awful, awful footballer.
