How anyone who claims to have "forgotten more than most people know" about the Swans can claim that is beyond me. You clearly haven't been watching the Swans for the last few years, as they DO win you matches, especially when up against teams with more expensively assembled squads (which is every week). If we "took more chances" as you succinctly put it, we wouldn't retain possession, and would probably find ourselves losing more often than not. The squad know how to play a certain way and that's the way they're always going to play - as attested to by everyone at the club. If you don't like it fair enough, but please stop saying it's **** half the bloody time, it's so depressing, and you're wrong.

Last time I checked cyclists and tennis players didn't have other players kicking **** out of them for 90 minutes at a time? Tennis is hardcore, granted, but most sports that are more continuous have no-where near that amount of contact.

Scott, you need a life, when do football players get kicked for 90 minutes, maybe 5 minutes, and opps they need a rest, harden up players and earn the obscene wages you are getting paid.

You would think these days as the players are finely tuned athletes it would make them tougher and more resistant to knocks. ! But thier not iff compared to the days when the likes of Billy Bremner and others were kicking lumps out of each other every week and just getting up and on with it there were injuries but they were proper bone crunching tackles not slight knocks that put them out for months not to mention thier smoking and boozing they were much tougher. Todays players do recover from knocks quicker due to thier conditioning but they do seem more fragile than they used to.

scott try and grow up a little bit you dont need to pick on things i say as they are my views and plenty agree with me anyway, you are beginning to follow kangaroo with your stalking ways, say what you think like i do and keep my name out of it, there is no need its a forum for fans views and not dai's forum where you jump on everything i say....understand or ain't you capable of understanding that......

It's my opinion, Dai, remember? I'm not having a go, just arguing your points. If you make wild claims I'm going to counter them, simple as, because normally I disagree with you. I've no problem admitting when I agree with you and have done on numerous occasions, but saying we'll win nothing with possession and pretty football is wrong, surely, because it's got us promoted to the PL and sees us sitting high above the relegation spots at the moment. Everyone knows we need goals but to rubbish the way we play is disrespectful I think.

As for the physicality of football thing, I know football is daft now and you're not allowed to tackle, and it has gone way too far, but at that level the intensity and nature of the game is such that you'll see lots of injuries to the legs/ankles/knees etc. I'm not saying it's as tough as rugby or any other REAL tough contact sport, but players in certain positions, flying wingers, strikers perhaps, will definitely suffer over the course of a season. Rotation is handy because it allows you to rest players before little niggles turn into full tears/pulls/ruptures etc.

i dont mind anyone disagreeing scott thats not the point, but whenever i post my views i get abuse and called pathetic and the like by certain fans, now i can give abuse back ten fold but its stupid, i would rather hear fans views like the bodde saga, who we are playing and what line up we should use and not silly comments with my name mentioned,... at the end of the day we are all jacks and we want the best for the team but we all have different views on how this can be achieved.......i love your match threads and have said so i have also agreed with you on things just like i have agreed with aussie from time to time but the minute i get singled out and called an idiot then i will retaliate....lets all try to keep it football related whether you agree or disagree thats all i ask....

I'm all for that! In fairness I think (hope?) I've refrained from insults, it's just football for me. I just don't see the point in personal feuds. Much more important things in life to worry about!

Just a question... who do you think you are believing that you can play a shadow team against Bolton??? I am not a Swansea hater but cmon guys; give the FA Cup some priority - it's the only chance of a trophy that you had this season. Premier survival is one thing but situations like this have a habit of leaving you with egg on your face. Take Brum last season in the Carling cup. If they hadn't taken it seriously do you think they would have survived relegation? NO! However this season they had a chance of some kind of glory in the Europa League. OK you can play that down but, not forgetting our routes, both Swansea and Cardiff enjoyed their outings in the Cup Winners Cup in past years.

I guess you paid the price of believing that you are a bigger club than you actually are. I hope that Cardiff will always take the FA Cup seriously. It's a tournament that deserves to keep it's credibility. After all it's given so much to British Football for it to be cast on the rubbish dump.

Anyone out there brave enough to agree with me - and admit that you're disapointed with today's result and team selection?

Not bothered, bigger game on Tuesday for us. Nice to have a cup run, but survival is more important.

To be fair TT, we put out virtually a reserve team against West Brom in the FA Cup so a tad unfair, Swansea have one aim this season and that's ensuring they stay in the Premiership
