The anger was all an act. I'm back to my boring old self now as I can't keep it up. A bit like MD2020.
Sorry to disappoint Ciaran but I would be highly unlikely to be regarded by anyone as an "Anglo". My parents both came here from Ireland one in the 40s and the other in the 50s. My comment about Gaelic and Welsh being gobbledegook was actually tongue in cheek as is 99% of what i post on here - as you well know.
Can't tell if this is the 1% or not......It could wreck my evening if i don't find out. There is going to be a bunch of Scotch lads up the town tonight. I'll get em to speak slowly so ah ken unnerstann em.
Some collapse that. Always gonna be hard going 4th on that pitch. Seeing as this is a thread about Derry....and you mentioned cricket I was working out in Donegal a couple of years back and I gave myself too much time to get back for a match at the Brandywell. I got there far too early so I parked up and listened to a test match. The thought crossed my mind that I was the only man ever to listen to a test match in the bogside......Turns out I was wrong. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/jan/25/martin-mcguinness-love-of-cricket
the things people will do for votes..... When my auntie died the English priest who did the funeral said that he never thought he'd see the day where he paid regular visits to a blind, elderly, Irish lady who was obsessed with cricket!
