    He lacks the creativity we need in the middle though, with Tiote busting chops we need someone who can dictate play.. which Nolan doesn't realy do.

    Got to agree with this. He is a bit slow but to score that many goals from midfield in an average team is outstanding. I like him and Tiote in the middle, its a decent combo. There have been calls for him to play off the striker again but I think he's better arriving late, it is in those games where he's played CM where he's scored his goals this year. Play Ireland off Best while HBA is out. I think we've got a decent second line up assuming the first choice 11 I suggested is picked.

    It's strange that we all have Best included in our teams, when before Chirstmas if someone had asked me if Best would get into our line-up i would have pissed my pants

    I just can't bring myself to do it... I can't create a strongest XI and include Best but at the moment I'd have to.

    I'm still optimistic that Ranger will turn out to be the next Drogba..
    He is my favourite Toon player though so i may be a little bias.

    I'm not sure Nolan would get a game if Ireland and Ben Arfa Stay fit but I'd like to see him keep the "fox in the box" sort of role, behind a sole striker. Ben Arfa have the skill, pace and fitness to play a little deeper but still make runs into the box, going past people and causing havoc.

    Something like this I reckon.....

    Nolan is **** in terms of pace, creativity and lack of technical ability. But excellent in finishing, spirit, decent enough work-rate, very experienced, very good leader on the pitch & a very decent bloke of it..

    Still think he's **** though.. but hey everyone has there opinion.
