Nervous about this one, especially with Perch and Ameobi playing. To be honest I'd take a replay right now.

When we played Simmo and Perch cb against Norwich he wasn't there, iirc.

Fancy Ben Arfa to get one today. I've also realised how depressing it is that i'm worried about Perch playing against a Championship side.

Exactly, it says everything. Really is a worm. He bottles it which is why I dislike him. He hides.

I'm fairly sure he was on the bench.

And Perch is a lot of things, but he never shirks a tackle. Just look at his disciplinary record...

**** off, when has Pearch ever bottled it, he is not that good but he always puts in 100% effort and commitment and seems like a decent lad. Also when he plays in midfield he is not as bad as everyone makes out.

Nahhh I don't agree with that. The one thing you can say about him is that he gives his all, he's just not a good footballer unfortunately.

Agree and disagree. Perch certainly doesn't bottle going into challenges but he usually fluffs them if we're being honest. There ain't two camps here in which Perch is either terrible or much better than 'everybody' thinks. He may not be utterly disgraceful but he is still a poor footballer and a liability.

I've just had a premonition of a Perch red card today, two-footer on Mackail-Smith.

He's a poor player but to knock his work rate or mentality is unfair.

He isnt brave enough in key situations that really matter. Running about and sticking challenges in isnt what I'm talking about.

At Norwich for example, you could see he didn't fancy the fight when I came down to it. He gets bullied.

He fluffs them because he is not that good, not because of any lack of effort or commitment, and he also sometimes puts in the odd good 'un. He is only a liability when he plays out of position in defence but when he is in midfield I honestly feel safer with him playing than Gosling.

Why does everybody associate bravery with putting in tackles that get you booked..?!!!!!

I'm talking about having the balls to stand their and say, I deserve to be in this team. He relies on others too much.

Agreed. Though that isn't say much unfortunately, Gosling hasn't exactly set the world alight like we all hoped.
