Disgraceful behaviour from some of the Liverpool fans. Very sad to see indeed. My little sis just asked me why the fans are booing the black guy wearing the number 3 shirt. Not an easy one to explain to a little kid, which only illustrates the level of immaturity being shown by some of the Liverpool fans.
They're booing him to unsettle him for the most part. Don't think it's a racism thing, or because of Suarez. Quite simply, the crowd have seen an opportunity to unsettle the MU captain, and of course they'll take it.
From a neutral I think it is sad that a player is booed in such a situation, will fans soon boo players who they think are homosexual or muslim; it is not a good situation . However, I am not saying that this is all Liverpool fans but it does show the level of some fans.
If there was clear evidence of Suarez deliberately saying something offensive and racist about Evra then we'd have little to no complaints. Its just how the whole case was handled, how excessive Suarez ban was and how Evra had the cheek to lie so much in an attempt to have Suarez punished.
I am not getting back into the ifs and buts of this case. However, Suarez was charged and Liverpool did not appeal therefore for all purposes he is guilty. The FA had to come down hard or risk facing criticism for not doing enough and how on Earth do you know if Evra was lying or not, presumably the FA felt his evidence was more concrete than Suarez's defence.
He claimed in the FA court that he couldn't even bring himself to say the word "n*gger" because he was so digsuted and offended by the word. Yet there was footage of him calling two Chelsea players (one was Lampard, I don't remember the other one) "****ing n*ggers*. That means he lied in court, capiche?
You can all chose what to believe from the contradicting media stories, only two people really know what happened. The media make heroes and villains to sell their story. The race card may be easy to play, however if Liverpool were so sure that Evra lied why did they not appeal and secondly if you read the report Suarez's report of the incidence is deemed to be contradictory.
