i know bellamy played well the other night but he must be shattered - knowing cardiff were in the final must have given him more incentive to work his socks off
Reports from Anfield suggest Wayne Rooney, Nani, Phil Jones and Ashley Young all miss out for Manchester United. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...l-v-Manchester-United-live.html#ixzz1kkkeXSvY
More murmurings, this time via text from one of you good, but anonymous people via text, that Andy Carroll is set to start against Manchester United. "High hopes for him today, especially if De Gea is in goal, come on Redmen," they add. Still awaiting official team news from Anfield.
Liverpool: Reina, Kelly, Enrique, Agger, Skrtel, Carragher, Henderson, Gerrard, Downing, Maxi, Carroll.
BREAKING TEAM NEWS: Captain Patrice Evra starts for Manchester United alongside Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs at Anfield. Andy Carroll starts up front for Liverpool.
Utd: De Gea Rafael Smalling Evans Evra Valencia Carrick Scholes Giggs Park Welbeck fergusons chickened out there, berbatov should be starting alongside welbeck. weak utd team.
'Andy Carroll starts up front for Liverpool.' Manchester Utd have won then, unlucky Liverpool, you just didn't have it in you to get the goals
no rooney for utd though, welbeck doesnt like playing as a lone striker. very poor decision by ferguson, just because hes playing 5 in midfield he thinks he'll control it. not when the 3 cms have zero pace, he wont.
Our two highest scoring games in the league this season Carroll started, only he didn't score any of the goals.
Another draw at home for us I fear. No attacking threat there, bar Maxi, who isn't suited to play with Carroll and Downing. And obviously Gerrard.
Why do you keep playing him? He was complete and utter ****e against Bolton and I thought he was the reason you couldn't score against a ****ty defence (which I actually think has improved now Cahill has gone). For a team wanting to get back into the top 4, you can't keep playing him. Kevin Davies wants out if you want a guy who just runs into things, and he puts effort in
I think it is the right formation though...I know we complained about it vs Stoke but against Bolton Kenny reverted to 4 at the back again. Without Spearing and Lucas I think it is a safe option and a few of us were calling for the wingback system when Spearing was serving his ban. Just hope we can score with what we have got in attack though, last season we had Meireles and Suarez to make it work.
