Real reason for Howson coming to Norwich

Anyways getting back to the thread - Personally I think it will be a fantastic opperchtunaty for him coming to Norwich!

 

As soon as he met Paul Clambert he knew Norwich was the club for him

(are shellfish puns allowed?)

 

Once met Paul Lambert in a famous cafe in Largs, the day after he had his face smashed by Albertz in an old firm game. He'd been carried off on a stretcher and there was big concerns over his health after the incident, so imagine my surprise when my family and I sat next to him the following day, eating knickerbocker glories. Nice guy, even if he appears to have slurred speech most of the time.

 

Oh for cod's sake isn't it time you fin-ished this debarnacle?

 

I would think there would be a fair chance your speech might be a bit slurred if you were smashed in the face too.

 

Lambert was so pleased Howson chose to join us. In fact he couldn't wait to get out the whelkome mat

 

Very true, still that was 1999 and he's still slurring it big today!

 

Must have been a hell of a smash then

Found it on you tube, you don't see the damage done to Lambert, but it was bad. Albertz knee went right into his face, Lambert was knocked out and had an operation to remove damaged teeth.
