Lent. What could you give up?

    Seeing as it's the first day of Lent and we've now prepared our bodies for a 6 week stint of abstinence with pancakes*, what will you give up?

    I've decided to pack in the drink.

    I was going to start today but a works party was announced for tomorrow and I'd hate to be the odd one out so I'll start next week as a mate is coming to visit on Friday night and then it's a shame to waste a weekend...

    Jesus understands. He's very Christian about it all.

    On a football related note; what would the players give up?

    Jonas will give up waving...



    * Why pancakes? Rio gets it's rocks off with semi naked ladies wriggling away and we have some lemon and bloody sugar on a ****e paper thin piece of fried batter.

    Who chose that as a 'celebration'? I want to go back in time and torture them before they had the chance to announce the 'party' plan.

    I'm going to give up giving stuff up so I shall eat, drink and be merry all through til Easter.

    Maybe this will be Wenger's excuse for last night, Arsenal just gave up.

    I'm not giving up anything...I'm gunna try and do some form of exercise every day of lent (hungover or otherwise) due to be doing the belfast marathon as part of a relay team for a Ugandan charity so it'll all coincide nicely!
