Have backed the following in E/W Singles and multiples

    Silent Creek @ 14/1 (GP)
    15:20 LEOPARDSTOWN

Significant turnaround in the weights from Seabass 2 runs ago. Unexposed over fences and won a 0-140 handicap hurdle last season. Not far behind some placed horses in the recent Thystes. Interesting at the bottom end of the weights.

    Zaarito @ 14/1 (GP)
    14:45 LEOPARDSTOWN
Could be well handicapped on old hurdles form. Quite unexposed over hurdles given his age and won his only completed start at the track over fences. Fell in the other two one of which a grade 1 in which the race seemed at his mercy.

    Quicuyo @ 10/1 (GP) NB
    15:55 DONCASTER

Good course form with 2 wins and a second from 4 starts. Seems to be quite game and gutsy. Should hold one or two of these at shorter prices on recent form and is real value at that price

    Qianshan Leader @ 15/2 (GP)
    14:50 DONCASTER

2 from 2 at the course. Won quite nicely over C&D last time. Stable in decent form this season and although this race is a considerable step up in grade this horse could be progressing particularly over this trip (3 miles).

Tidal Bay @ 5/1 (GP) NAP
    14:35 CHELTENHAM

I have to keep the faith. Rarely runs a bad race and always runs a good race here. Has an excellent chance of winning at the weights and there are a lot of doubts about the market rivals in this race as well.

    Woolcombe Folly @ 10/1 (GP)
    14:05 CHELTENHAM

Nudged down a couple of pounds to around 4 pounds higher than his last winning mark. A lot of doubts about the recent welfare of many of it's rivals.

    Night Alliance @ 14/1 (GP)
    13:30 CHELTENHAM

Ignoring the last run on soft ground and different track. Good course winner second last time out on similar ground conditions and see no reason why it is almost 3 times the price of That'lldoboy on similar terms.

Well done with the Il PReSIDENTE research, Grumeti could be something else. I like the sound of the 16/1, there won't be any of that about after tomorrow, methinks. I just hope Grumeti's tumble hasn't knocked his confidence! Should p*** up.

Tidal Bay imo, has started keeping a little for himself, history may proove me wrong, they may refind the key to him, but I doubt it. Those bookie chappies would lay him all day, at the moment that I am sure of. DIAMOND HARRY, fast and late, around the 11/4 mark will do for me. Some nice sorts in the race, and a lot of future winners in the line up.

    Morning all <ok>

Nap vote today goes to Wayward Prince in the Great Yorkshire Chase. After a very successful novice chase campaign last season he was thrown straight in at the deep end on seasonal debut in the Hennessy but a bad mistake at the 8th knocked the stuffing out of him and he was subsequently pulled up. He then ran in the Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby on Boxing Day and put in a much, much better performance to finish 4th off a mark of 150. He was only 2 lengths behind Midnight Chase that day and the winner, According to Pete, has franked the form since. Ian Williams has hit a real purple patch of late with a near 35% strike rate in the last 2 weeks (8 winners from 23 runners) and Timmy Murphy keeps the ride. Wayward Prince is dropped 4lbs to 146 today and that looks a winning mark to me.

Otherwise I'm on Grumeti, Captain Chris, Bless The Wings (2.05) and Knight Pass (3.10). I will also be having a small e/w on Little Josh in the Argento - I e-mailed the Twiston-Davis yard and they are very happy with him. A good performance here will book him a trip to the Gold Cup <ok>

    Best of luck everyone.

    Morning all
A great days racing ahead and few for me all of which I note have received some positive comments already on here:
Chelts: Captain Chris 5/2. First run at this trip but classy horse IMO and has proved he can negotiate the hill in very good company. Question is will he be able to do it over 10 furlongs further.
Chelts: Knight Pass 4/1. Won lto very easily but has to prove he handles the track and a decent Henderson runner too!
Donny Galaxy Rock8/1. Tough horse tough jockey
Leop Pires 33/1. 2nd lto out with Ruby in the saddle. Not sure that the great man gave it his best ride. 33/1 will do for me.
    Good luck to all

Morning all! Two Placepots for me as usual on what is an excellent days racing here and in Ireland.

    Cheltenham:
    Leg 1: Grumeti (6)
    Leg 2: Carpincho (6) / Made In Time (7) / Night Alliance (15)
    Leg 3: The Giant Bolster (8) / Araldur (9)
    Leg 4: Diamond Harry (1) / Midnight Chase (3)
    Leg 5: Knight Pass (3) / Secret Edge (11)
    Leg 6: Big Bucks (1)
    24 @ 60p
    £14.40

    Doncaster:
    Leg 1: Alasi (1)
    Leg 2: Kumbeshwar (2) / Kid Cassidy (3)
    Leg 3: Bocciani (4) / Big Easy (9)
    Leg 4: Wayward Prince (4) / Cape Tribulation (7) / Qianshan Leader (11)
    Leg 5: Gullinbursti (3) / Lovcen (4)
    Leg 6: Rileyev (7) / Kings Grey (8)
    48 @ 30p
    £14.40

    Singles Bets:

    ARALDUR 2.05 CHELTENHAM (NAP)
He has no luck what so ever in the Paddy Power chase after being hampered numerous times. He was steadily improving, and can progress further in this compeitive handicap. He is attractively weighted and must go close. 17/2 Various

    SECRET EDGE (EW) 3.10 CHELTENHAM
Ran a decent third in a Grade 1 contest a Chepstow. The ground was far from ideal and better ground today will help. A weight allowance is a further plus and looks sure to go well in a decent heat. 12/1 Bet365
