The stats on the Beeb are saying Watford 26 shots - Spurs 6. It didn't sound like it, but I was only listening.

SD is saying that Watford had 19 chances, so what do I know. It is a great example of what we can do. Murray was told to go out and enjoy himself.

We won, and I love it.

    To repeat

This post is directed to all the idiots who dissed Spurs before the game, NOT decent Watford fans of whom there are many.

Who did the biggest cheating, prima donna dive?

    Watford

    Was the game boring? No.

    Are Spurs in town? Yes.

    Did we win? Yes.

Suck on that you anti-football loving, deluded Watford philistines.

Well done to the Spurs fans, as I said weeks ago, we'll sell all our tickets and more. Love it that there are Spurs fans in the flats overlooking Watford's game, how brilliant was that. COYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shame Watford fans didn't turn up, should have given us more tickets, we could have filled the ground to boost your threadbare support.

We march on in search of our 9th FA Cup win and 18th major trophy. Watford can concentrate on avoiding the 3rd division and maybe one day winning their first major trophy.

I can't pretend it's been pleasant meeting so many anti-Spurs, anti-football numpties, but I'm used to it, having to deal with Stoke City fans and the like of this world.

I hope our paths don't cross again for a few years, maybe next time we'll have some more pleasant supporters to debate with.

    COYS.

Not read all of this thread but here's my opinions from watching the game on ESPN:
Watford played unbelievably well against a pretty decent Spurs side (Van der Vaart, Adebayor, Modric). I'd say that Spur's performance was below par, but the defence held well and reacted quickly to the many shots we had. I wish Tottenham luck in the next round (as it will definitely be needed after that performance) when they play a club with more pace.

And by the way, Spurs were sh1t. Champions League - yer 'avin a bubble. Adebayor cost Man City 15 times what our entire squad cost. Modric's salary alone would pay for our first teanm and academy. Proud of that display were you?

Hello - Hoddle's lovechild is back. Took him long enough - must have been spellchecking.

Pity he doesn't know the meaning of debate.

Immensely proud of our team, our squad and our glorious history, something you'll never know anything about.

Indeed we had a massive laugh in the CL. It was a glorious adventure and we lit up the tournament with superb, breathtaking football, again something Watford can only dream about.

Oh wait, some of your fans don't even dream such dreams, preferring anti-football.

If we make the CL again, once more we'll be a credit to our club and nation. It's great following a great team, shame you'll never experience it.

Oh dear, what a foolish person you are. Even Spurs fans seem to be embarrassed having you amongst their number.

Still one day you will grow up and look back thinking, could I really have been such an idiot. At least for your sake I hope that you will.

I've been watching the game, something people like you clearly don't bother with. Why cloud your prejudices with evidence?

My spelling, though not as good as it was 40 years ago, is still excellent. Furthermore, I'm afraid just as Watford are nowhere near the level of Spurs, you could never reach the command of the English language that I have achieved in my life.

Immensely proud of scraping a 1-0 win against a struggling championship team. What a sad, sad man you really are. At least your manager has the decency to admit his team was lucky to come away with the result. You have such a one sided view on football I swear you should be an Arsenal supporter.

Cracking game all round and we could have, should have, got something. Looked a soft goal Loach might have got. 2 outstanding chances we should have emade something of. Murray was excellent. Regular posters know I have doubts about Doyley but he was very good tonight. Crowd were great, and no QPR style ticketing rickets - not that I saw anyway. Want a crowd like this every week - of course we do (so charge £15, not £25 then.)
    Roll on Millwall.!!

Well our league position would beg to differ. City pay way over the odds for every players. Modric is on £60k pw, is that really right? Oh and he was ill all week but wanted to play anyway <doh>

We wouldn't be proud of beating your lot unless we scored 20 <ok>

I wonder what Jsybarry would make of his posts? They strongly suggest a position on a certain spectrum - be as well to back off before he does himself a mischief.

Actually yes - we have a maximum wage cap of £5k - so with an average of £3k for the first team and peanuts for the academy - yes, Modric's salary would pay for the first team and the academy.

    Bet that shocked you.

Our first team players are on a wage cap of £5,000 pw. Multiply that by eleven and even if the 18 year old we played tonight was getting that it still wouldn't add up to one of your players.
