Anyone at a loose end tonight?
    nothing on?

well the toon stiffs are playing the arsenal tonight

Kickoff is at 7pm and admission is free to all. The East Stand will be open.

Squad: Krul, Soderberg, Leadbitter, Riley, Streete, Nzuzi, McDermott, Inman, Guthrie, Newton, Richardson, Sayer, McGorrigan, Airey, Kuqi, D.Taylor.

Four members of last Saturday's first team squad are named: Shefki Kuqi, Tim Krul, Danny Guthrie and Michael Richardson along with Conor Newton, 19th man v Everton. Phil Airey and Brad Inman continue their comebacks meanwhile, but there's no place for Nile Ranger.

Six players who featured in Newcastle's recent FA Youth Cup exit at the hands of Manchester United also feature, namely Michael Riley, Ben Sayer, Remie Streete, Patrick Nzuzi, Dan Taylor and Ryan McGorrigan.

    should be a good game

Go watch a half strength reserve side, in the cold, at St James with a couple of pints... all for free?

    or...

Go watch some Champions League, in the pub, with a couple of pints...

My heart says the Toon, but there could be a real game on tonight...

If that young lad Adam Campbell was there I'd be there in a shot.

He's picking up all the awards... Just won another at the North east awards the other night iirc.

And Inman if he gets a match. I want to know if he is the Aussie/Scottish Kaka.
Hopefully Vuckic isn't far off either.

I'd be more interested in the young uns than the likes of Kuqi, guthrie it's a really young stiff squad almost like an academy squad

NUFC FACT OF THE DAY young Remie Streete was the youngest ever player to be sponsored by Addidas and has turned down scouted interest from Manchester United (who his dad supports) and Liverpool.
Streete was born and bred up here and went to Boldon Comprehensive school South Tyneside and remains loyal to Newcastle and his friends from the area <ok>

He's 16 if he wasnt on Newcastle's books he would have been leaving school this year.
and He is versatille through the middle. The vibes from the clubs and from the people that know him it sounds like he is being moudled into a centre half.
He is already a 6ft lad and built like a brick **** house <ok>

Few of them seem to be running near the end of their contracts (according to NUFC.com), so i hope that gets sorted out. Inman and Donaldson, i believe, are finished this summer!
