But I love the media for this transfer, they're too busy watching Carroll's every move, watching the next time Downing miss hits a cross or Suarez says something outta' line, and Henderson is there, working really hard, and the lack of 'hype' means less pressure, I honestly think the guy is here to stay and is at minimum a very decent squad player right now. He is a working progress, and with each game, he is actually progressing. Yep, hard worker, stays behind in training and keeps his head down, no nonsense type of guy. No media stuff about him letting off fireworks in his own house, bust ups, not even rumours about him putting a foot wrong. (Cue Caughtoffside article..)
Downing is considerably better when he plays on the left, proved in plenty of performances this year. Just hope the manager keeps him out there
Tha Adam bashers should probably remember LUCAS as well Hendo's done ok. Definately has the physique and stamina to become a very good player but still lots to learn. Seems willing though which is all most of us ask for.
How old is Adam though 25 right? 26 maybe? Loads more time for Hendo to mature a la Lucas. Adam does need to start picking up level of play and energy.
Yeah but MITO has it in for him just the way so many had it in for Lucas etc Adam hasn't set the world alight but he hasn't been horrendous by any means. Whether you're 21, 26 or 30 it can take time to settle into a new team and learn how to step up a level. Maybe he won't be able to in the long run but that can be said of any player including Hendo. Yes Henderson has more time to mature but Adam at 26 could still give 7 or 8 years good service too so I think it's fair to say he can still get better as well.
I keep changing my mind on him. I was very sceptical at the start purely because I knew little of him and it was a lot of money. But then he played well and I changed my mind. His form has then dropped off a bit. I think the best conclusion is to wait and see. It doesnt help that whole team havent been playing well. I would be nice if he could add the odd game changing goal to his game becuase he does seem to go missing. He can pass a ball though. Let's wait and see. He's already a decent player.

Even if they were they'd only bottle it again Back on topic I'm still not fully convinced by Hendo (and I just can't see him ever being our permanent right midfielder) but for a young lad he's done alright so far and as quite a few have pointed out his attitude seems spot on. I will never go overboard in my criticism of any player if I see him giving 100%.
People didn't question Jones as much because he showed enormous potential but you are mad if you think when Oxo signed for £12 million a lot of arsenal fans weren't totally confused.
I don't think he necessarily means by the clubs own fans but in the wider media...lets face it he had a decent 80 odd minutes against manure and the media have practically been jizzing all over him...and the fact that Jones performances over the past two months would have made Long John Silver look pretty nifty has gone practically unmentioned by any section of the sporting press.
