We were playing with 10 men for a third of the game. And losing 4-3 against arguably the best team in the world isn't so bad. Now I just hope Barca draw an English team in the next round.
I feel a bit sad weirdly i would've fancied our chances of winning the cup if arsenal had stolen it in last seconds. on the other hand...
Barcelona had a goal wrongly disallowed in the first leg and should have had a penalty in the 1st half tonight, they absolutely hammered Arsenal and the stats are embarrassing but some of their fans blame the ref
Barca are going to have a field day against the other English teams. Spurs conceded 3 away to Blackpool, I'd like to see them playing at the Nou Camp, Utd's paraplegic midfield would stand no chance whatsoever and Chelsea are playing pretty poor.
I'm actually getting bored of Barca now. I feel like turning up one game (becasue it's so simple to do that!) and saying "come on lads, it's not funny anymore. Go back to being **** and let the other lads have a go". The main reason is that I get sick of hearing commentators go on and on about how amazing they are, because I, for one, find watching them quite boring. When they played Inter at home last season in the Semi's I actually got more pleasure from focusing on the Italians superb defensive display than from Barcas pretty little passing game.
How in hell could you be bored by watching a team play like that? I'd be hating them if they were vastly overrated but these guys can play great football. There's no shame in losing to a team like that.
I agree how can you get bored................. it was so one sided it was laughable..............even at the Emirates............ and Bendtner giving it loads, hahahah....................also nice back heel Cesc?
I agree mate. I'm sick of all the hype. OK- we get it, they're a great team, one of the greatest ever. That doesn't mean that all the commentators, pundits and many neutrals have to rim them everytime they play.
They are that good they deserved to be 'rimmed' I fear for United against them especially with Rooneys first touch...
It's not beyond the realms of possibility that Marseille could knock us out. We're hurting at the moment, and seem very fragile. But at home we seem to be a different proposition. I think we'll knock Arsenal out on Saturday then edge the French out. Though I'd forfeit both cup competitions if we could just get over the line for number 19...
Feeling pretty good about Saturday, Van Persie got a rest last night. All depends how our other injuries are doing though.
Agreed - PL is definitely the priority right now. Although I'd rather we didn't get knocked out of Europe by the French. Or get knocked out of the FA Cup by them either for that matter...
