Good, an offer that low would be dismissed out of hand, even if it wasn't from Leicester.

in relation to all our former man utd players we have signed, does anyone know if there is a clause in their contracts about Man Utd having first option of buying them back if ever we wish to sell them (certain a stoke fan said Shawcross had a similar clause) - if there is that clause isn't the leicester bids a non-starter.

    hope that makes sense

It would not surprise me if they did but they do insert a small % clause into onward sales of kids.

NP would know if there is such a clause. If LCFC have bid that would suggest that there isn't?

Agreed. If Stewart and Chester had clauses Nigel would have activated them along time ago

Be fair to Tickler, he didn't mention £6m. I did. And i didn't say they'd bid £6m, I said I'd sell at £6m. I'm 99.9% certain that AP and the Allams would too because it's crazy money.

If the offer is £2m, it's £2m short of being worth thinking about and £3m short of being tempting.

"Nigel would have activated them" makes it sound like he's in the drivers seat. No doubt he activated Sharp's clause for what good it did him.
BTW After you've visited us for the umpteenth time with your politest comments are you going back to your own board to tell them how hilarious we all are - like you usually do?

I think he means Man Utd clauses giving them first option of a buy back which would deffo mean NP could not bid.

<cheers>Theo. But dont you think Even IF NP did bid £6m for Chester its short sighted ? The vast riches on offer come May make that bid not tempting at all, imo. Chester will be worth millions more in 3 years time. Why should we not benefit come the day when Chester may leave us. Afterall, we still have the pain of the Turner transfer on our minds. AP said Chezza is worth at least £7m anyway last time he spoke about it.

No club would turn down that much money. It's a crazy offer that wouldn't come again. We could replace him and still be £4m up. All speculation though because they can't offer enough to make it worth selling.

It seems to me that NP is making a bit of a fool of himself. He has been told that non of our players are for sale to Lestra, Furthermore if the offer is £2 millions, that is likely to infurate the Allam's even more, with such a derisory offer. If I was Lestra owners, I would be questioning why he is making offers, which are a waste of time, unless it is a deliberate attempt to unsettle the player.

No, I think an offer that big would definitely be accepted, even from Leicester.

We want to keep him and they'll never offer anything like that much so it's a bit irrelevant, but you'd be mental to turn down an offer that big.

We could probably buy Turner back for half that ffs.

Who needs Turner, we just recall McShane. Hmmmm...maybe we're just better off keeping Chester....

The Lesta Mercury says Pearson is in for a Notts Forest central defender.

Off topic but I love the way people refer to NOTTS Forest. I used to live with a Forest fan and it used to drive him mental!

Surely this 'unsettling' a player tactic would only work if the team looking to unsettle where actually in a better position then the players current club. Never heard of a player playing for a promotion chasing side being unsettled by mid table dross such as leicesteristan.
