Do you really think so with no Howson and Gradel? Pugh and Rogers are not even close to replacing those two. I think they will finish above us with ease, they have the players and Pearson is starting to get them ticking.
Ristac, every time Pearson 'starts to get them ticking' they lose another couple of games on the bounce. I seriously cannot see Leicester finishing above us
I hope I am wrong Josh and Simon - Pearson has quite a lot of talent to choose from, he is starting to get it right and that means problems for all other teams in the play off spots you wait and see...
But as Josh said, every time they win people say he's getting it together then they lose another couple on the trot. Also tbh I'm not so sure their team is that great, certainly not for the money they paid. I'd say we have a better starting 11 at least.
Lonergan, Lees, Clayton, Snodgrass - The rest I would take the Leicester starting 11 every day, I can't possibly see who else we have who would get into the Leicester squad.
Ristac I think Delph and Clayton in CM is better than Clayton and Howson Lonners Thompson, Lees, AN Other, White Snoddy delph clayton townsend becchio Mccormack Should be able to get us into the play offs
Do you think Howson for a season is better than Delph for one month though? Either way Delph goes back and we are left searching again for a replacement. I would have hoped Nunez would have made more of an impact but I can't see him making it. We are also judging Delph on when he played for us in Div 1 I think we need to reserve judgement for a couple of games.
Becchio and McCormack are better than Nugent and Beckford, White is better than Konchesky, Delph and Townsend would also get in there too. I'd have (in a standard 4-4-2): ---------------------Lonergan Peltier---------Lees------------Mills----------White Snodgrass-----Delph----------Clayton------Townsend --------------Becchio------McCormack Leicester overpaid for lots of average Championship players.
I think it's highly likely we'll get Delph for the rest of the season unless Villa have a major injury crisis.
Ristac, i have done this before on the leicester board. I combined both squads and 3 of there players got into my team. Honestly they aren't that great, i'd stick by that as well. Until they get wingers who are decent, they will be struggling to make play-offs
Ristac Fact is Howson would have got 8 games for us after this injury Delph will get 7 n we will try extend his loan, so really it wasnt a bad deal, Im not happy we didnt manage to sort Howsons contract out but Im happy delph is back.
when i did this post on the leicester board i had pretty much the exact same team (except howson for delph) but i had Beckford and Keogh upfront
I think Nugent and Beckford are far more potent and I would swap them tomorrow for Becchio and McCormack, (Josh on every other thread you are saying we need to drop Becchio), I would take Peltier, Konchesky, Mills every day over White (Josh is he okay for you now at LB as you kept screaming he wasn't a LB and that he is a winger earlier?), O'Dea and our make shift right back who I still believe has a future as a midfielder. I would let St Ledger and Lees battle if out for the last spot, Lees long term but he still has a lot to learn. Delph and Townsend are not our players, they are loans. It is okay saying we might keep Delph longer but we might not and I read a lot of Leeds fans getting angry with Townsend being greedy. If we finish higher than Leicester great, I can't see it though as I truly believe they have a better 11 and a far better subs bench than we do.
