Hinterland is still one to consider for the Triumph itself, dependent on how he goes at the weekend. He wants a real fast pace to account for his lack of a turn of foot at 2m. He should get that in the Triumph. Can see him placing by running on past beaten horses.
Hidden Cyclone not going to Festival. There are rumours also from Ireland that Minsk will not run this season, anyone heard owt?
Had nothing to beat though RV, but you can only beat what they stick in front of you. As a sidelight, Hay List barrier trialled in Sydney today. Very impressive.
ahhh ffs thats my RSA bet on Hidden Cyclone gone then not sure about Minsk Yeah exactly Cyc . Hope she comes to Ascot will win easy
Decs for triumph trial Baby Mix Hollow Tree Pearl Swan Tango de Juilley Colebrooke Grumeti Hinterlaand may well be running in the last - handicap - of course he will get a handy 4yo allowance
Morning, one and all. Nothing for me today and therefore am waving the old ‘no bet’ banner this morn. But with a tear in my eye I can reveal that this is almost deffo my final ever post. Am starting a new job on Monday and their internet policy seems to be that if the address don’t end ‘ac.uk’ or contain ‘.org’ then you ain’t getting on. Meanwhile, I ain’t been on in non-work time now for months and can’t see that changing anytime soon. The NH scene leaves me a little bit cold these days, I must admit, and still haven’t had any Cheltenham bets but to remember me by will advise a couple of 3YO flat horses for next term – Harbour Watch and Top Offer. It will take an exceptional, and I do mean exceptional, horse to beat either of them. Tat-ah!...
3.10 Huntingdon Rose of the Moon seems all the rage- given his low weight and his 5 length third at levels behind Ely Brown. However, Theologist won well at Newcastle last time after a close length second behind Thehillofuisneach, getting 6 lbs. The latter went on to win again, giving Ely Brown 13 lbs and beating him by a length. Those form lines would suggest that Theologist has about 11 lbs in hand of Rose of the Moon at todays weight difference of only a pound. Oscargo seemed to thrive up when he won up Cheltenham's stiff finish, but he'll need all his claimer's 7lbs today. He should run well. However, I think Theologist offers great Each Way value at 9/1 (Bet 365) and is a sporting nap.
Thomas Edison has been purchased by JP Mcmanus - Rainbow-wise gamble coming on now I feel. Runs on sunday as welll - FFS over hurdles though another AP bet bites the dust
Hinterlaand runs in the handicap only three for the Lightning Novices Chase- Menorah, Kid Cassidy & Kumbeshwar
Well its a two horse race. Kumbeshwar was no match for Menorah last time out. Kid Cassidy has potential but Menorah could beat him easily also. No chance of a reversal from Kumbeshwar
RV, I would go further. Its a two horse race, it depends which Menorah turns up. If he jumps round and does thwack one then surely he hacks up?
Not so sure Nass I think Kid Cassidy is a bit special the way Nicky Henderson talks this one up makes me think he could still be a superstar 7lbs he recieves I would probs favour him because Menorahs jumping is awful
Ruby could have a cracking day tomorrow at Cheltenham, I fancy Tidal Bay and Aerial to run massive races in the two big chases and with Big Bucks he should also take the Cleeve. Then add in the two Juvenile hurdlers and he could have 4 or 5 winners (plus chances in the other races too!!) RV, I didn't like the way KC jumped last time, in fact both of them have blotted their copybook when it comes to fences with me. I wonder if they will make all and attempt to use the weight to their advantage on KC?
