But then consider that Spurs will be paying hundreds of thousands a week to some players, yet the highest player at Watford is (possibly) Nyron Nosworthy and he wont be on much over £5000 per week. If you were to offer your players 5K a week, 90% would say not thanks and probably walk away. Thats the difference. Our players will happily play against anyone for 5000 a week. Whereas most premiership players will not!! We pay in blood sweat and tears, not pounds and pence!

To be honest and as much as I am biting my tongue (my old dad will be turning in his grave), but The Spuds do play very good exciting football and it would be churlish not to say so. Could I say that The Prem is more or less exciting than The Championship, no not really as I do not watch enough other games to say so. I am sure there as equally boring games in The Championship as Blackburn v Bolton or Wolves v Villa.

Only reason that I would like Watford to get back in The Prem is to get some cash in, pay off our debts and rebuild the ground - but you can keep all of the "new" Watford fans it attracts that want to see Prem games, you can keep the people that fill up the pub I drink in and the car park I use and you can keep the prancing Peacock Prem players rolling around, diving and cheating....and most of all, you can keep that sanctimonious twat Linneker....

Looking forward to a packed Vic under the floodlights, a good laugh at 'onest 'arry and a good game of football.

As for the scoreline itself, I think we have as much chance against Spurs as Murray does against Djokovic. So I'm saying the number of sets Andy gets will be the number of goals Watford score, ditto for Novak and Spurs.

I suspect that he will be watching because, like many others, he actually is a fan - a fan of his own team, not of a bunch of cheating, overpaid, prima donna fairies from the EPL. For the vast majority around the country, that's what football is all about. But we wouldn't expect you to know or realise that because you are superior, apparently. :)

Ensiluokkainen I must say your posts, especially the last two (that's the last two before the last one now), are spot on. We are supporters of our clubs. As true supporters we would support our clubs in whatever league they played. But on a forum such as this it is difficult for some to not retaliate when generalised attacks are made, and for others difficult not to post such generalised attacks. Why they feel these are needed in a match thread I am not sure??? Sadly that's the nature of such forums. But between all that there are many quality comments and info offered. <ok>

Personally I'm very glad to see you guys cutting it up with the best. And wish you all the best.

But I'm sure you won't mind me saying that I hope in the coming hours you have a really bad spell :cheesy:

But I also hope it is a great game with both sides doing themselves proud. I'll take a 1-1 draw if it is on offer <ok>

<ok> Corrected. Thanks for that - it is a bit hard when it's not your first language. ;)

I think you'll find that most of London are happy that Spurs are doing so well at the mo. I also think that most people would enjoy watching Spurs play. For that reason, there's no need for a supercilious superiority, or digs at the opposition, just my opinion.

Meanwhile, back on topic. As i said in the 'ghost' thread, I'm hoping that we put on a good display tonight. I can see it going one of two ways. It'll be a 'caught in the headlights, can't play' performance and we'll get completely hammered, or it'll be a performance that brings out the best in our players coz they'll take it up a notch. I'm hoping for the latter, obviously, but i fear we'll see the former. My head says 1-6, my heart says 3-1, but when doesn't it? ;)

What an idiotic comment, I'm sure if there's any cheating going on, it will be far more likely to come from Watford. Spurs are not only a great footballing team, we play in a fair manner, let's see if Watford can match us for fairness, if not footballing skills.

Watford are no-hopers as far as winning the Cup is concerned, and I hope you never return to the Prem with prejudiced fans like BB.

Hi KC, thanks for a decent post amidst all the dross posted by Watford fans on here. Incidentally to the WUM who called us Spuds, we're Spurs thank you very much.

Thats hardly WUMing. Its a bit of banter. Each team has a nickname, and we have been called several over time. If you are that sensitive then maybe an open forum is not for you. As for the dross, you clearly have not seen the Millwall board, they barely speak a language which most people can understand, and every other word is foul language.

Thats your club nickname yes. But its the same as people calling Watford 'bees'. Its a bit of fun and a joke. Its not like we have called you Spunk. We could have, but we haven't. We have been very polite, not used foul language and simply expressed our views about the corporate side of the premier league of which Spurs are a part.
