RANGERS star Kyle Lafferty told yesterday of a horror attack which shattered his car window while his pregnant girlfriend was inside. A stone hit the rear windscreen of his new Jeep as former Miss Scotland Nicola Mimnagh, 24, was in the front passenger seat, a court heard. Lafferty, 24, was giving evidence against Reice *Harrison, 16, who is accused of assaulting him at a *supermarket filling station. The Northern Irish striker claimed in the witness box he is subjected to sectarian abuse almost every day. Lafferty told how he and Nicola had been followed by three youths around *Morrisons in Johnstone, Renfrewshire. When the couple returned to the Jeep, Lafferty said, they were waiting outside and one called him an âOrange ****â and a âp***kâ. Lafferty ignored them and drove Nicola to the filling station nearby. But he claimed the youths ran after them and, when he got out of the Jeep, he heard a âloud thumpâ as a stone smashed the rear window. He recognised Harrison as the one who hurled abuse and believed he was the only one close enough to have thrown the missile. Lafferty and Nicola went to a police station to report what had happened. Lafferty told Paisley Sheriff Court rival fans would often goad him in public. He said: âI donât want people shouting things like âOrange ****â at me. âEspecially when there are other people around, as it can be embarrassing. âI just donât think it is acceptable. But you have to ignore them.â He said he had been âguttedâ when the window was smashed as heâd had the Jeep for just two weeks. Harrison, of Paisley, is charged with either assaulting Lafferty or throwing a stone which damaged the vehicle in November. He also denies shouting and swearing, uttering sectarian remarks and breach of the peace. The trial was adjourned.
So a 16 year throwing a stone at a car is the same as what happened to Lennon last season !!! Must have missed sky news headlines with the Lafferty incident
You need to wait several years after the abuse casually escalates to threats and wait out the first few threats and, even then, when he's received actual explosives in the post, some Taigy version of you will rubbish it. Wilson was heard uttering sectarian remarks by a security guard - I'm not sure if there are any other witnesses but presumably only Lafferty and his bird heard any made at him. All old firm players get the hassle living around Glasgow , Lafferty is playing the sectarian card , what happened to Lennon last year has never been seen before to any manager in world football .Medro you got a roasting on these boards yesterday, why can't you accept what happened to Lennon affected him doing his job to his full ability and stop comparing this incident with all that happened last year .

He's the David Leggat of not606. He's so blinkered he can only see things from a Rangers supporter/Protestant Irishman perspective. Note his comments about Lennon and the "problems" he suffered from last season. This is a bloke who had a freak out because some people wrote a couple of nasty tags about him yet he would have us believe that his day to day life would not be affected by death threats, verbal abuse and actual physical attacks. You can be sure it would be a very different story if it was a Rangers manager who had suffered as Lennon had.
