Not entirely sure what went on with Lorimer regarding the truth behind the Howson deal, but is this Bates' way of ensuring he never plays for us again?

I hope not to be honest, I think with some fitness and if he manages to keep his injury problems behind him he could be quite good, I think he's out of contract in the summer though, so he'll really have to prove himself on loan if we are to offer him a new contract.

    Morning Kiwi <ok>

I read somewhere this move was going to happen & Parker will not feature for us again. Who knows if its true but the guy is a liabilty (injury wise) & a walking sick note. Unfortunately for him I can see him picking up yet another injury & being left in limbo. I hope this doesnt happen of course & fair play for him for speaking his mind.

We also seem to have a good relationship with Carlisile when it comes to moving on players <ok>

    Morning Bucks :emoticon-0148-yes:

Yeah I wasn't really expecting him to feature for us after speaking out about Howson. Shame he's so injury-prone, seem to recall him showing real promise in league 1 before all the injuries started to hit.
Haha yeah we do! Think they'd fancy taking Paynter and Rachubka off our hands? <laugh>

To be fair to him I think he has the ability, just never had the luck! And on his comebacks he always looks unfit because he hasn't played in so long! Unfortunately I don't think he'll make it with us anymore, wish him luck in the future though :emoticon-0148-yes:

<laugh> That would be handy! Could see the Paynter deal happening but hes got the taste of a good wage now & I think he would rather sit his contract out than go back down to League 1. he seems that kind of guy or surely he would have agreed to go out on loan before he went to Brighton (the only Championship club interested in him)

Kissa, I suppose the kids still got heart & lets hope he can overcome his injury problems as he will be without a club very soon if he picks up another one!

Would be great for him if he could go out & do a decent job although he wont play for us again & we wont get anything for selling him (injury list & out of contract) I wish him all the best & some of our former players that are around the club right now should take a good look at themselves in the mirror & remember who it was that used to adore them & why they are still popular today when a kid can come out & speak the truth like he did on the one occasion he got.

Paynter isn't likely to leave any time because, as you say, he's on a good wage in the championship, and he'll just hope he can take any chance he gets.

Really rate Parker as a person for speaking out, it's about time someone had the balls to do it.

Anyway lads, I should really get ready for lectures, nice talking :emoticon-0148-yes:

Parker is actually quality going forward but defending is suspect, this was before his injury!

when he played v arsenal he seemed overweight imo

    Take it easy Kiwi <ok>

    Galaxy after Bruce <laugh>

Kissa, agree about Parker. He scored a beaut on the first game of the season didnt he (in L1) danced past a few & cracked one in with big Enoch getting the winner?

He was a great prospect at one time. Was playing in the England youth teams, then had 2 good loan spells and broke into the Leeds team. Was impressive going forward and looked to have made the position his own, but then suffered injury after injury. It's a big loss for Leeds the way his career has panned out. Had he stayed injury free, he'd probably still be our first choice left back.

Afternoon all. Sending Parker out on loan is good for everyone. It gives Parker game time & an opportunity to show he has a future. At the same time, it gets him off our paybill (I think) & an opportunity for SG to take a good look at him. Personally I think if he can prove his fitness, we might just hold onto him. But only time will tell

    Afternoon Boggers!

I doubt they will offer him a new contract after what was said & his injury record. If we have got to trim the wage bill then Parker stands right out as although he has the potential he has been getting paid to work on his fitness & not contrubuting to the team.

But stanger things have happened, we recalled Bruce for one!

Lets hope he does well regardless & to see him in a Leeds shirt again fit & performing week in, week out would be a massive bonus <ok>

It must be Parkers last chance, any more injuries, its probably time to call it a day. Real shame, as he showed a lot of potential 2/3 years back
