Hey fellas, Liverpool fan here. Was just wondering if any of you have been keeping tabs on Jordan since he left to join us? He gets a lot of stick from rival fans and wums for being an expensive flop, but to me these are people who don't watch Liverpool play and are judging him in the same breath as Carroll and Downing (who so far have been flops). Personally myself and most Liverpool fans have been impressed with him so far, he is capable of producing a moment of genius with great vision and a wonderful pass. For his age he is very mature, confident and a good passer of the ball. I have made a thread about it on our board here. What do you guys think? P.S good luck for the rest of the season, I would give anything to see Liverpool on the form you guys have had since MON took over. Are you not top of the form league since then or something?
We all want Jordan to do well.. Big club, high expectations...hope he gets more time....and the crowd don't turn on him.
I think his problem was that he is a local lad, playing for his team, living with his mum and dad and maybe a little imature. Next thing he is a 20 mil player far from home, it takes time. I keep an eye on him and bit by bit he is getting there, has grown up quick and will come good.
I think he has all (most) of our best wishes. We're actually better without him, but i'm delighted to hear/see he is doing canny down there.
He sprayed some nice passes about last night mate. He certainly has bags of potential & a bit of advice to Kenny, right wing is his best position.
I'm a big fan and think he will only get better. On 5 live commentary last night, alan green said hendo was "anonymous". There again, we all know what a tw*t he is.
Wish the lad nothing but our best wishes. Hope if does well but sorry mate, I can't stand your manager at all.
My 6 year old daughter knows more about football than that **** Green. The twat's been making a living for years from talking utter bollocks. Still, that's the BBC for you, an organization full of twats.
I've read your thread and our comments. I think we've all summed him up. A young lad who know he hasn't done anything with his courier. Wants to become a very good player and it at a club with world class players that can help him achieve this. He's not interested in how he looks and what car he drives and has a very good family who keeps him true. You have a good passer of the ball, and someone with the stamina and will to do what he's set out to as Forest Gump once did. Only down side Ninja is he can't tackle for toffee. If Liverpool fans think this is a part of his game think again, it'll never happen. I personally think he'll become a player who plays at Liverpool for a long long time.
2 seasons back he was doing amazing things, especially given his age, on the right wing. Personally, though better than Carroll and I'm surprised Downing has been quite ****, I don't think he's a top 6 side player. When you find other players stronger in the tackle and with more creativity, he'll probably struggle to get a game for the Pool. Wish the lad well though, to the point where I'd like to be wrong. ...I guess the bottom line is would we have him back? Answer: no thanks Jordon, we've moved on and I much prefer who we have now.
I've seen quite abit of Liverpool on tv and I've always been quite pleased with how he's played. This might not go down well with Liverpool fans but I think the problem is Dalglish and his team selection/formation. There's never any urgency or cutting edge, no plan b. Downing has been poor but is always on the left. Id love to see him play a front 6 of Henderson........Adam.....gerrard.........downing.... ......................Carroll............bellamy.......................
I think you will find most if not all will agree with you. It's a shame Lucas and Suarez are out otherwise we could be sitting slightly higher in the table and we haven't got many other attacking options for a plan B. Carroll isn't producing neither is Downing. Adam has some glimpses of quality but not enough that we are looking for. Replace Adam for Lucas and Carroll with Suarez and our season would be much better.
Think when he first went to you lot he was a rabbit stuck in the headlights but, as the season progressed he has from what I've seen started to play well. Watched most of the game on Saturday night and he was one of the few Liverpool players who came out of that with any merit. He is still a young lad and, as said on here we all hope he comes good as no doubt you will.
Dont know about that, reckon MON would have got the best out of him, like he was in his 1st season and a half and nutmeggin players for fun and putting in some canny crosses. Hendo had at lot to offer when at his best. But yes, its good news that he is doing well at liverpool.
For Liverpool fans wondering what, after a return of one goal in 26 games, the club saw in Stewart Downing, the secret is now out. Owner John W Henry and chairman Tom Werner watched YouTube footage of him supposedly kicking five consecutive balls into five dustbins from 30 yards at Aston Villa’s training ground and were persuaded to complete a £20million move. The only problem? The footage which shows Downing’s party piece was a fake. Villa’s audio-visual team edited the video to suggest Downing achieved the feat with five consecutive kicks.
