I actually meant corporate boxes for all those who bring the kitchen sink, pets, insurance policies, picnic hampers, cuddly toys to the game. Then they don't even have to watch the game if they don't want. As you say, they should rip the bloody things out and send them back to Hemsby where they came from.

I've sort of tried that mate, it happened at the Newcastle game, some twat with a rucksack came back from half time about 5 minutes after kickoff, I stood up to let him through, when he promptly stopped in front of me to watch a chance, I grabbed him by the arm and flung him back onto the gangway. He just sat looking at me, and I looked back, he didn't say a word, but, a steward had seen it and came and told me off. The people around me who'd seen what happened and had a go at the steward, which I think saved me from being ejected. This particular bloke had been up and down the whole ****ing game and I just snapped, I think a crafty kidney punch might be less visible in future?

Of course you did Redruth, sorry. I'm doing this from work and just quickly scanned the posts, plus red mist was clouding my vision.

I sit next to a father and three kids. The kids are very uninterested in the game most of the and so to pass the time they do things like get up from their seat and bang it around and the kids usually fight with each other. They can often be a distraction for me, their father knows this so why doesn't he do something about it or sit between me and the kids, we are at the end of a row! Te father tends to shout some fairly obvious and pointless things at the players as of he was the manager. I often hear 'you've got to keep hold of the ball' and other similar things. But whenever the kids shout out something to do with football he tells them to be quiet.

Also, while we are on the topic, the teenager in front of me is also an absolute nightmare. If you ask a polite, reasonable question the response is most likely to be 'shut up' and an odd stare. Don't people appreciate good manners?

I agree 100%!! One thing which winds me up also is over dramatic people... i no its gutting when some one balsts the ball over from 10 yards but your at the footie not on a west end stage. No need to slap your thigh and drop to your knees clutching your face!!!! I also hate when people around give running comentary! Im watching too!!! dont need every thing explaining to me in great detail!!

I still have fond memories of my first Norwich games.

"C'maaarrrrnnn Naaarricchh, ya playon like a bunch of ole womun."
    "you praaaat Llewellyn"

    <doh>

Generally though I enjoy anything shouted out at games because even if it doesnt work its still funny.

My dads abit over dramatic. He loves a good....."YYYYYEEEEEEEEE-OOOOOOOOOOOO"..........when the ball goes wide or over.

"Good manners", wonky, is an elitist concept and it's politically incorrect to use the term. You'll get us all into trouble <yikes>

In fact, I'm surprised dave hasn't already censored your post <laugh>

Personally I think all seats should be set at the same price, if you got kids coming in cheap as chips and not interested in watching the game there will be the next man willing to pay 4/5x the amount and would love to go , both parties win. ncfc get the revenue and a happy fan gets to see his beloved team. its not as if the kids take less space up its just 1seat per , anyone agree

I genuinely heard this at a game last season: The 4th official had just held up his board with 5 minutes extra time on it, a woman behind me shouted out......."will you stop adding time on, I gotta bus to catch an I'm gonna miss it"! <laugh>

Stewards, don't tell me about stewards. I've been to enough games recently where some prat who has no bloody authority is telling me to sit down etc when the police are watching the bloody game!
I remember Bristol City and as I was walking out, a few ****in Brizzle ****ers started with a chimp act at me. So I did my Jonathan E impression and smacked the fence between us. A great big ugly steward then has a go at me so I told him to bring his bigger brother outside and we'd sort it out. I think he probably would have killed me but he bottled it.
At Plymouth they hire marines who enjoy smacking people around for a few quid. Then its off to Union Street on a Saturday night to crack a few heads.
I blame the Japanese for inventing rucksacks. If you took all the rucksacks out of football matches, tourist sites, and leisure centres, Norfolk wouldn't be in danger of sinking into the sea!

Sounds like he was taking diabolical liberties. Getting up once or twice I can put up with but if it's a constant thing and if they don't apologise then that's not on it's the etiquette of watching football. The number one thing which pisses me off at football, is people having a go at you for singing and shouting I'm not having a go at them for sitting there quietly it's a football match for christ sake.
