He's not a happy bunny I'm afraid. Even on form I don't think he'd really want to play for us.

maybe he got injured in the 5 seconds he played to get a massive win bonus????

i think a bit of sulking and petulance is no harm at all cos just maybe it shows he cares he didn't get on or start before.... if it shows he cares good... if it shows he wants to go (he'll have to comment) then fine... i see no loss bar lost opportunity out of torres money.. we won't miss him the way he's playing...

Talking of Torres. Has he been to a final with the team he went to "win things" with?

I'd love if if we got some. Just like Owen when he left and we won the Camps League.

    Argh there is a god.

On the note of Carroll, I've never been so unimpressed by a later appearance during a game than him last night..and during those four minutes he played, he was outmuscled by Lescott like he was a 10 year old, barely chased anything down or hassled their defense when they had possesion despite being the freshest player on the park and looked like he couldn't be arsed being there.

I want him to be a success, I really do, but COME ON LAD! Show some passion for this team and you can be a Kop hero! If we had the same Carroll that was playing for Newcastle, then by fowler (god, if you didn't get the reference), we'd have a match winner.

To be fair - Lescott is real unit and not many people could outmuscle him.

To be fair, one of them shouldn't be Andy Carroll.

It'd be fair comment if it was David Silva or Yossi Benayoun, but not Andy. He's not a waif...

He doesn't look like one but he has been out-muscled against many defenders. Don't want to say anything on his performance last night though because 4 minutes doesn't acquire judgment.

Depends what you do for those 4 minutes...we could have parked a car on the pitch instead of Andy and saw no difference in effort level. A car might actually have intercepted more passes and pressured their back line more <whistle>

    Oh come on!!

It was sit back time, he was running about - but your not going to intercept a pass when you are running on your own against 4 defenders popping it about.

Why turn a great performance and a trip to Wembley into a '****ing Andy Carroll' thread

I think you'll find the whole damn thread was about Carroll from the first line in the OP <doh>
Sit back time? Bullshit. It was all hands to the pump defend like your life depends on it for the last 4 minutes. Running about? He barely moved. I don't expect him intercept, I DO expect him to put in some effort for this club because there were 45000 people in that stadium who would give every ounce of effort in their body if given the same 4 minutes at the end of a semi-final cup match.

Now there is a moneyspinning idea - a raffle to take Andy's place on the bench. £1 per entry and you get Andy's shirt, appearance fee, win bonus and arse splinters. Just have to get up and have a warm up jog about for 20 minutes, followed by 4 minutes of injury time sprinting...

Everyone is quids in. Andy can buy tickets too. See if he really wants it <laugh>

I remember Chelsea winning the FA cup and Drogba running straight down the tunnel as soon as the final whistle went.

It turned out he needed the toilet really bad.
