Just WOW. Best performance by any Liverpool player for a couple of years tonight in my opinion. Absolutely immense. And I was one of the doubters when we signed him - Humble pie for me We're going to Wembley
Well done tonight lads Perfect Final for me with the obvious Bellamy link plus the Gerrard v Gerrard connection too. see you all at Wembley
Cheers mate, I was in your end when you lost to Blackpool a couple of years back it was a good atmosphere pity about the result. It will be a good final I'm sure.
You lads have got more chance of a ticket than us(average attendance),but fair play mate, and the older heads will point out the Toshack connection.
Bellamy was amazing tonight. Does anyone wish that just for once we could win a big game easily without all the drama.
Congratulations on making the Final didnt see the game but Bellamy was suppose to be immense, looks like he wanted to face Cardiff. Hope its a good final with plenty of goals.
Bellamy showed grit, determination, chased everything down and more importantly, he combined it with great technique, touch, control and scored! This is the type of striker we need - I don't want a traditional English striker, I want someone who isn't afraid of receiving the ball in the box and tight spaces, who can control and turn and more importantly has heart. Perfect performance.
I only wish Bellamy can play in every game.Well done to ALL THE PLAYERSWE NEED BELLAMY FOR MANCHESTER UNITED GAME
This. The fans love Bellamy because he plays with passion for the club, regardless of if he scores or not. If big Andy showed 50% of the heart Craig shows, we'd love him too. If only he was 10 years younger...hopefully we can get another season or two out of him though with careful managment. Just as important to the team as Gerrard/Suarez/Reina/Agger.
Yeah it's a shame he's on the wrong side of 30 and he's got dodgy knees (that I can notice!). But I would like to commend Henderson's performance. I really like this kid - only 21 and looks mature, calm and composed and his passing is pretty crisp. His first time passing is quality.
Words cannot describe his performance last night.. I love the way he struts around with his head on his shoulders (no neck), so short, yet angry and committed, giving out orders and having his hissy fits. Such a character, his performance just brought the best out of him, so underrated he is, best man on the pitch last night, one of the best individual performances for us out of the whole team this season.
My favorite one from last night was He made a run from the center to the side and downing played this lofted ball down the middle. Bellamy gave it to him both barrells and basically said" Down the line into space, Ya you ****" lol.
He was immense for us last year, but not always fit. Good of him to keep the 39 shirt as a mark of respect for his time at City. Really looking forward to playing at Wembley against a proper club, with proper fans (the three times before it's been Barnsley, Pompey and Blackpool). By the by - if you've not been there before: it's not that great - just big and overpriced - and in the middle of nowhere. Most Cardiff fans have respect for Liverpool and their fans I think - unlike our attitude to Manc and Cockney outfits near the top of the Premiership. Glad it's Liverpool at Wembley - but I still expect us to get a spanking!
Bellamy was great. Johnson's composure was the best part of the move for the goal however! He had a very solid game, apart perhaps from being AWOL for the second City goal.
ya, but Agger had no clue Dzeko was behind him, you could see it in his reaction he knew he fooked up. Ah well, live and learn.
On the subject of player performances...The kick up the arse looked like it helped, but Kenny did mention after the Bolton game that their minds could have been on this one and the Utd one at the weekend, which would mean that they were probably mentally focused on this game for some time. The kick up the arse has to really take effect against Wolves...which is a MUST WIN!
