I'm afraid tonight was all about damage limitation and just when Arsenal curtesy of a Barca own goal looked like they could against the run of play steal it The ref sent the Van rapist off. Had they pulled it off it would have been the biggest ever travesty of justice ever known in football. I had a £5 bet with Ladbrookes that Arsenal would get tonked 5-1 but it could have been 12-1 in reality.

Almost as bad as United in Rome worst performance ever by a British club in Europe.

I would love to see Man Utd vs Barcelona. That would be a comedy show.

On a serious note, I agree with the article. Well summed up.

Our defence is stronger than Arsenal's and we have players who can sit back and defend when needed while Arsenal's are used to going all out attack which leaves them exposed at the back and suits Barcelona perfectly. Our midfield is rotten though, they would get completely dominated.

Arsenal were actually defending quite well up until the red card. Barca second goal was unplayable and the pen was just a nail in the coffin.

Completely different games. One was a a final, one was a round of 16, so you had half the stadium full of your 'fans'. Plus, Barca weren't as good as good 2-3 years ago as they are now.

I only got to listen to the game on the radio but it sounded like Barcelona were very wasteful. That's their main fault for me, they try and score the perfect goal instead of just being ruthless.

    **** Barcelona and **** football.

    I've been slayed for this on 606 but I couldn't give a ****.

Yes, Barcelona completely overran us and yes there are some severe flaws in our team. But at the Emirates they overran us for 70 minutes and we pulled off a 2-1 victory. Hell if Bendtner wasn't such a donkey we would have pulled it off tonight.

In my opinion, that referee was paid off to ensure Barcelona qualified. It's not because we're Arsenal. It's because we're an English club, and those corrupt bastards in UEFA wouldn't stand idly by as all 4 clubs progressed, two of whom at the hands of continental giants. So they ****ed us. There is no explaining Van Persie's sending off.

So from here on out, I'll be supporting our fellow English clubs and I hope to ****ing God one of you put this cheating shower of catalan ****s to hte sword.

I'm so ****ing disillusioned with the game right now.

The Barcelona team that beat us in the final won La Liga, the Spanish Cup and the Champions League, I wouldn't say they were weaker then.

I don't think there is a Fifa conspriracy, if that was the case then why did they have a goal disallowed in the first leg? The ref was just ****, which seems to happen a lot these days. Having said that i would rather spurs win the champions league than Barca. Really ****ing hate them.

I think they were weaker Berbinandez. Messi, Pedro, Busquets, Pique and Iniesta are all a lot better now than they were then. Add to that Villa who is better now than Henry was then and I think if the team from 2 years ago played the team now the Barcelona you faced would be comfortably beaten.

There was a shout out that Messi's goal may have been offside after the ricochets but I could never tell from a replay. But in answer to your question, I don't believe they worry about matches until the second leg. They probably assumed Barcelona would rape us anyway and they got a nasty fright when we undeservedly equalised tonight. They realised they were in trouble so they did what they had to do.

SORRY, Are you ****ing joking? Paid the ref off?

    Messi dissalowed goal.
Kosielny red card and penalty not given.
Stonewall penalty tonight in barcas favor not given?

If anyone paid anyone it was arsenal.

You got the rub of the green in both games mate.

Calm down and see how you feel tomorrow. There is too much evidence against your crazy match fixing theory for it to be true.

Like I just said, I don't think the referee had an agenda in the first leg. The Messi goal was fortunate for us but it was a split second decision and you can sympathis with a linesman for getting it wrong.

Koscielny didn't commit any foul on Pedro that time so I don't know what the **** you're talking about there.

The Diaby foul tonight was on the edge of the box and if I remember correctly came at a time when we were going mad at the amount of soft free kicks they were getting.

Van Persie's sending off was as blatant as they come. Have you ever been to a match at the Nou Camp. I have and let me assure you that it's deafening. But even, if Van Persie had heard the whistle why do you think the ref sent him off? It was his third offence and second card. Would a talking to not have sufficed?

I'm saying that UEFA ****ed us and it's not the first time. Two years ago, they cheated Chelsea out of a place in the final against United because they couldn't bear to see an all-English repeat of the final from the year before. Which actually is a shame for United because I think you'd have beaten Chelsea and made history by becoming the first team to retain the Champion's League.

Football is awash with corruption. My eyes are wide open to it now.

Kosielny rigby tackled Pedro in the first leg. It was a blatent pen and red card.

Im sorry I havent read so much rot in a while. Your eyes are not open to anything, your just being bitter because you lot just got humped, which is understandable. But at the same time is a load of garbage.

Out of curiosity, do you think there is no corruption in football at all? Or that I'm just misinterpreting things here tonight. What did you make of the last World Cup for example?

The Diaby foul was about half a yard inside the box, close but should of been a penalty, even I thought it was outside until the replay.

By the letter of the law, the ref was right, but using common sense, he didn't. Very harsh 2nd yellow, but it didn't really change the game, no shots at all with him on, and no shots at all with him off.

The 2 ref's for Chelsea/Barce were terrible, awful decisions for both sides, no bias, just **** refereeing. Both teams could of had a few pens each in each leg.
