Ok, I just want to ask, which defeat felt worse, the 5-1 defeat at SJP or the 0-1 defeat at SoL? I really just want to know. Does a home defeat of only 1-0 feel worse than away thrashing of 5-1? Again I'm not wumming. I've just not experienced a home derby defeat properly because I was only a little nipper when you's beat us twice at SJP.
I had my first away derby at Sid Jame's in 1979, Gary Rowell hat trick in front of the spunkersgate end, lovely day. I'm not wumming either. Just saying.
And my granda was there when we twatted you 9-1, still a top division away win BTW. Your 5-1 is as much part of history as 1909.
So I said to my mate Johnny Rubber...................................................................................
The consecutive 2-1's under Reid were good but nothing will surpass the play off game at sid James. The single most important game ever played between the two clubs was won by the lads with total ease. Even a laughable pitch invasion by the filthy craas couldn't change it. I was in the scum end as well to see them crying and wailing. Perfect. Lol We love you Marco. Does that still hurt today my little plum duff?
5-1 felt like ****. But I don't live by any Newcastle fans nor know any so the stick i got wasn't bad
Haha This thread went down well then. To be fair we do it to the bindippers all the time, only with trophies (Premier League trophies of which they have none), not individual results from the days when players wore wooden boots. Each to their own though. If I was a Sunderland fan the 5-1 would hurt more, given that the opposition had just been promoted.
TBH the 5-1 did not hurt me, I was left angry at my team for not turning up and I know the wcastle fans wont agree but to me they did not beat us, we just gave in.
