    technically 6th place gets it and then 7th gets it if both the finalists in the fa cup are already in the top 6.

    if we do pip liverpool to 6th, and the fa cup final is contested by a stoke, everton, sunderland etc, then 6th wouldnt be good enough to get us into europe

    It doesnt really matter who wins this game does it as long as whoever it is wins the final....?

    Its all about the FA Cup final being 2 top 5 teams/plus Liverpool. If we finish 6th we get Europe, if Scouse finish 6th and we finish 7th...we still get it because they have already qualified...?

    Thats right innit?

    it does matter, because if city won and lpool finished 7th, then 6th would be guaranteed the euro spot for the carling cup place. with city already out and possibly united on sat, its looking more likely that a non euro team will contest the final. it would def hav been better if city won becuase 6th would have been guarentted euro football - now it isnt.

    What if Arsenal finished 5th and won the Champions League, would that mean only the top 3 in the league qualified for the Champions League and 4th place would get a Europa League place?
