Think you're right in every point you make in that post. Still to harsh on Hall though, that's just the same line used over and over again. Please give me the last goal he was responsible for, Samba's header against Blackburn last i can recall. But not even Anton could prevent Samba, maybe thats way Hall marked him...? Only reason Ferdinand will be here next season and Gabbidon won't (granted we stay up) is down to Gabbidon only having a one year contract and no one in their right mind are going to take Anton off our hands with the wages he's on.
Hall hasnt played a lot recently but Id love to know how many goals a game we concede with him in the line up and without him. Overall our defence looks a lot worse when he plays for some reason. I just checked, 4 out of the 5 times we conceded 3 or more, Hall was involved, the other one was Man City.
Just for the record, in 2 of those 4 games Hall played 10 mins. Subbed with injury (shock) after 10 mins against Spurs away, 0 goals conceded when he went off. Against S'land at home he came on with ten mins remaining, and we conceded one goal with him on from a corner. The other two games were freak results against Bolton and Fulham when the whole team collapsed. Are we to continue this or just agree on disagreeing?
so one game he may have had no effect on but the did with the other 3, especially only playing 10 min and still conceding the winner. Hall is terrible like gabbidon. Read other peoples opinions or go to a whu forum and search for gabbidon. will you be happy to admit I'm right when neither start when we sign defenders but Ferdinand is still involved.
Hes only the 2nd best CD because the rest are awful, hence the reason why we are trying to sign 2 of them. Only Ferdinand is good enough to stay with us. Hall had a good game but it was his first league game of the season where he didnt make a major mistake.
Hall played well against Swansea and I haven't seen him make a "major" mistake this season, though he has been indecisive at times. I agree Ferdinand is better than Hall, but not Gabbi. Gabbi has assets that Ferdinand hasn't - speed / ball winning, and also these are assets that I don't think are Samba or Alex strongest areas.
We'll have to wait and see who gets the nod IF new centrebacks arrive. But I won't change my mind on who I RATE the most even if Anton stays and Gabby leaves, it's in the meaning of the word. And I stand by this as well There are many factors to why a player will be moved on, economy one of the biggest.
Obviously there must be something wrong with the TVs in Norway! Its like saying you prefer Derry over Faurlin.
Eh no it's not By the way, we don't have TV's, only radio and analog internet. It's not fair of you to make fun of us for that.
Great retort Norway, 23rd Jan 2012, gave date just incase it takes a while for your analog internet to warm up.
dunno if u already seen these, but here's what to expect nice goal at 1:50 mark
Not Gabbidon for me, every time the ball comes near him, i'm waiting on a blunder. As good as Anton? No chance.
I think Ferdinand is our best CB, but I rate Gabbidon as a good defender and our 2nd best CB by a country mile! Ferdinand & Samba with Gabbidon and Anouha as cover will do me.
You don't think that a pair of Ferdinand/Samba will lack a bit of pace? Both Onouha and Gabbidon possess more pace than Ferdinand and Samba. Think we will be best served mixing the two up. Strictly hypothetical speaking, if we sign both Samba and Onouha I believe they will be our prefered pairing as they complement each other the most imho.
