http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...n-sunderland-and-swansea-hunt-portuguese-star Everton, Blackburn, Sunderland and Swansea hunt Portuguese star By Warren Haughton Wednesday, January 25, 2012 0 commentsEverton are facing competition from a host of Premier League rivals for Sporting Lisbon’s Adrien Silva. talkSPORT understands that Blackburn, Sunderland and Swansea have all been alerted to the midfielder's availability, with Sporting placing a £5m valuation on the 22-year-old playmaker. Toffees boss David Moyes has been to Portugal to watch Silva, who is currently on a season long loan at Academica but, due to financial restrictions, the Merseyside club want to take the Portuguese Under-21 star on loan for the rest of the season. Blackburn could look to cash in on either Chris Samba or Junior Hoilett to fund any possible deal, while Swansea are keen to add to their midfield options following the loan signing of Josh McEachran. Sunderland are also on alert. They are still trying to convince homesick Craig Gardner to stay in the north-east but, if they fail to do so, will be looking for midfield reinforcements. More gossip never herd of the lad but i wouldnt mind getting Samba & Hoilett from Blackburn.
If Gardner goes, then I would say yes...However, I would still say that an out and out goalscorer, if available, should be our priority...
Agreed, but not many of them about. For me that's all we are missing, admittedly we could strengthen in certain area's but we need a striker, a 15 - 20 goal a season man. (if there is such a thing nowadays?)
We need to stay clear of this transfer window and use any funds in the summer, things are just desperate at the moment
Should have a poll on "how many unknown players safc will be linked with in the next 6 days" I say 28..
