Lets face it, we're not going to be getting anyone in the transfer window. Even at the start, everyone knew deep down that Wenger would only ever get Henry. We'll be stuck underperforming until we get our injured players back, play well for a couple of games and then more players will get injured and we will capitulate again. Say goodbye to champions league this year I think, but we should finish in 5th so at least we'll still be in Europe. You never know, we might win the FA cup, thats if we don't get knocked out by Aston Villa on Sunday.

I've always supported Wenger, but even for me patience has run out and I think its time to go. Not now because there would be no point as a new manager would find it even more difficult to turn things around. At the end of the season I think he should resign and retain some dignity.

the 1st of Feb is coming up - no surprise we've signed nobody.

OK - so we've good players coming back from injury - but getting match fit will take time and reaching 4th is going to be a monumental undertaking.

It is surprisingly quiet; even the profligate Liverpool and Chelsea are quiet. I guess the prevailing mood is that there isn't any quality out there worth splashing out on.

  5. Isn't it just this apparent lack of urgency when all is crumbling around the place? Arsene reminds me of Nero fiddling while Rome burns. Perhaps he is simply as cool as a cucumber. Like you, I doubt it but until next Tuesday morning an optimist would say anything could happen. I heard elsewhere on the board that JW's return may now be delayed. I just can't tell you of the gloom I feel about that and fervently hope it isn't true.

Stay frosty fellow gooner, there is always hope. With sufficient alcohol and faith, we will pull through. At the risk of being called deluded yet again, I can at least dream of overtaking them all and winning the league whilst sticking two fingers up at all the pundits.

  7. Indeed my friend, there is always hope and indeed faith but I fear that would rely too much on charity from our rivals. Sorry couldn't help that ;)

I've been dreaming about the league for years Toledo but every year it is we who have those fingers shown to us but still as you say, one can always hope

Wenger has no choice but to buy if he intends to win anything. With everyone getting better, we must also improve the quality of our squad to WIN SOMETHING. Im sure he is paid to WIN STUFF and not just turn up.....

Our squad simply is not good enough to win anything at the moment.

  9. I think one day we will know why it is the money isn't being spent, whether we do have this money and who is Goddamn responsible for this mess!!! ( Sorry God )

    Or perhaps not ;)

I fear you are going to be disappointed. The chance of us getting someone like Hazard or Goetz, with Chelsea and United interested, is limited. I think the best we can hope for is Mattius Suarez, but I just can't see anyone else, who is good, moving at present.

Wenger and the board really need a reality check because if they think we will finish in the top 4 with this squad we have now injured players aside we gonna have big problems. For a big club which we are we should be aiming to finish first in the league investing on proven quality players but are aims and objectives seem to be champions league football anything else is a bonus.

We are going backwards we keep selling our best players season by season and replace them with mediocre 3rd rate players to try and fill gaps. Wenger and the board have a lot of explaining to do. We are not financially restricted now especially in the summer so why are we not spending?
