I thought Gaydamak owned the land, while Chanrai owned the stadium. I could be wrong though, it's hard to keep track!

<laugh> I love the way the real reason for your helpful suggestions is hidden in the midst of the benefits ie.

My understanding is that Gaydamak owns the land surrounding FP and Chanrai owns the stadium (which must include the land the stadium sits on)

I couldn't think of any other good reason beyond the rivalry, as to why we'd benefit.

rivalry + hatred is the only reason.

personally... I wish your club go out of business and never surface again, not even as a Phoenix club... and will wish ill on any Portsmouth F.C., but hey, that's not beneficial to the local businesses as much as my suggestion could be, and not beneficial to me, a tax payer.

Did you ever doubt it? Who would we hate if you went under? Bournemouth? Bollocks to that.

It would be brilliant if Channari and Gaddymark got nothing out of this Pompey could pay off their tax bill and get rid of these crooks once and for all but sadly I just cannot see a happy ending to this reoccurring saga :(.

To be fair, change "your club" to "redandwhitecomrade" and change "go out of business" to "slip into a coma" and that's how I feel about you...

I actually made a very good suggestion as regards to how the situation could be resolved in a way that would be beneficial to all, but 3rd eye decided to pick on 3 words out of the whole post and completely undermine the rest.

Nice to see Pompey doing what they do best, giving mindless abuse... RE: some of the posts on the Markus Liebherr youtube videos ;)

He does cause a few hairs to raise doesn't he.

You have a big problem and selling players though short term would help, long term could worsen the situation.

Why can't they simply release the likes of Ben Haim etc on frees to get them of the wage bill? The players aren't going anywhere and are ruining your club, so give them a chance to start elsewhere by releasing them, though there are sure to be some willing to show why it can't happen.

Going broke isn't really a palatable option is it? Even if it meant getting shot of them.

Releasing players means paying off their contracts. You don't save any money. Better to hang onto them in case they're needed, or they get out of the mess they're in and can afford to pay appearance bonuses, etc.

Just heard on south today AA has had a pop at Chanrai. AA said Chanrai told him he would pay the deficit each month and has failed to deliver.

    Surprise surprise.
Balrog inherited pomepy, he didn't buy into it.
Its like winning a Mondeo whilst playing poker, its not worth much, but put a new battery in & you might be able to sell it. He couldn't even be bothered to do that, & so, it died.

HR - he loaned £17m to El Mirage.

My suspicion is that - if the club goes into liquidation there will be no football played again at FP, the covenant can be challenged, he can then sell to developers and get his money back that way. Btw, that isn't based on any kind of evidence - just a conspiracy theory type of thought.

Try explaining why you can't sell Joel Ward and Jason Pearce? your club owe the taxman and local businesses and have no money, and yet you're REJECTING BIDS FOR YOUR PLAYERS!

along with every other club that's faced up to it's debts, we had to sell most of our first team...

sell ward, sell pearce, sell henderson... sell kitson, and every other player that other clubs have bid for. Pay off your tax bill and your creditors and ****ing deal with it.

Unfortunately comrade does have a point.

You have turned down bids for players despite the fact in less than a month your club might not even exist.

You need to pay the tax man the money asap in order to make sure/hope they do not proceed with the case.

We had to sell, it will only get worse before it gets better<ok>

We've been there and our final season in the Championship consisted of untried youth players...

    two things:

    1) The tax bill is 1.6 million, therefore it would be stupid to sell Ward and Pearce for anything less than that.

    2) It could be that we're not selling because there is the possibility that we'll be bought soon meaning we won't have to sell players. If there's a possibility of Portsmouth being bought say tomorrow maybe, then it would be silly to sell today.

Calm down for goodness sake redandwhitedoodah, or you will burst a bood vessel.

Perhaps, just perhaps, we are playing a waiting game with regards to selling Ward & Pearce. Apparently, Ipswich have increased their offer now to the £2 million mark for the duo. Someone may top this, as they are two very talented young players.

At the end of the day, we do need money up front, not in "dribs and drabs".

Be a bit more thoughtful and sensible in your posts on here, and stop trying to score points, or you will become a figure of hate on our site. Is that what you want to achieve, only you are fast heading in that direction.

    Just saying <ok>
