My view on the Jayram issue is that because of the principles concerned the MODs owe us an explanation as to why a regular contributer to the board who was the catalyst to some vigorous debates has mysteriously been banned with no word from the only people who are able to do this. If they know something we don't they should tell us. If it's because he held views that are opposed to the minority who run this board then it is an absolute outrage that he has been banned.

    No

Q - Are you unhappy that JAYRAM was banned by Piskie?

    No to that too

Q - do we want PISKIE to step down?

For the sake of the forum, he should consider doing the honourable thing.

The final decision is for the owners but the way the board is run is no way which will allow a forum to thrive. If the forum does not thrive, then what is the point of having it? Why pay all that money to VBulletin only to have a quiet chapel?

PISKIE should step down, this is a forum for views not his personal domain.

Sadly I think Murray is quite willing and able to step into his shoes.

As a Spurs fan, I won't reply to the question at the top of this - not my business. The thing I find strange is that no reason was given for Jayram's banning. He may have abused someone in a terrible way in a PM so that no one would defend him, but this can't really be debated until or unless the reason is given. He was such a prominent poster, I think you guys are entitled to an explanation.

  7. Well I imagine we have to make representations and see that this doesn't happen. ;)

Murray name-called Jayram in another thread. One wouldn't expect a mod to do that. Then again, one wouldn't expect a mod to deny free speech while saying he encourages it

  8. Good point friend.

However as you may have experienced, explanations are not really forthcoming on this board. Was Jayram even given a fair hearing?

  13. If honour existed, he would have gone by now.

However like Arsene, he remains... like Nero while Rome burns

    Why was Jayram banned ?

If people can't argue with him they ought to improve their debating skills, simple. I don't agree with everything Jayram says but he is certainly not abusive, so I can't see why he would be banned.

I can only guess it has to do with his long running feud with PISKIE, but they were both as bad as each other so if one is banned the other should step down, no ?!

At the end of the day, Piskie is a fan like the rest of you and merely doing a job that he was asked to do and I don't think you can blame him for that.

Moderators shouldn't really be making the decisions though and from the looks of things this morning, banning Jayram is not what the majority of fans don't want him gone so that's a mistake there.
