Grayson comes out this morning and states Snoddys contract negotiations have not stalled and today Clayton states he has no immediate plans to leave. Funny, I'm getting a mental image of the mad puppeteer bates with one hand up each of their arses pulling their strings. Strange after a couple of protests, why these guys suddenly feel the need to demonstrate their loyalty or whatever it is
It'l be the usual shi-te, "Jonny chose to play prem football, we couldnt refuse the offer, due to 6 months on contract" Whilst if the amount is 2 mill, i think its good money, but a) i highly doubt it b) if true we won't see it, c) Batesy may upgrade his penthouse
Snoddy has now jumped on the bandwagon calling for unity. Clearly the unhappiness among sections of the support is getting through. Bates must be proud though at the way his troops are rallying to the cause off field. Pity they can't rally in the same manner on the field of play
I do think the off-field issues are carrying onto the pitch, its not helping the cause and players now feel they need to try to demonstrate there loyalty because the fans are showing how much they are pissed off
Bates hasn't sent them a memo then or a message indicating it would help their cause if they came forward and said what a great set-up it is down there and how things are going swimmingly... Don't tell me AOB and Connolly will be next to come forward and tell us how great it is.
I didnt say that though. The player's feel as though they need to demonstrate loyalty because they see fans not going to games and ever dropping crowds along with all other negativity at the moment. Im not really in a position to comment about it anyway but im just saying thats what it seems like to me...
I would hope that all players on the pitch have only one thing in mind. I think they all want to show what they are capable of, and it is their profession. They all have limited shelf life and need to earn a living. All of us making comments would take whatever came along to further careers and safeguard their own futures. Loyalty is a great thing but at the end of the day would they get it in return from BATES ????
Wouldn,t dispute what Canary is saying but they will come a time in the not too distant future when the cretin will no longer be here then we may get someone who has a genuine interest in the club
