Cheers Shabby! The thought of a replay at the Valley against Margate doesn't sound to advertising... End to End stuff now both sides going close to take the lead.... Hayes gets a shot in on goal on the turn, but the ball is easily held by the home custodian. Injury News: Ajayi is down receiving treatment following a clash of heads with Curtis Robinson.
Big chance! Wagstaff delivers at the byline and finds Azeez, but his header is saved! Charlton sub: Pigott comes on for Hayes Last 3/4 mins + injury time...
And there it is possibly the winner!! Free-kick to Charlton on the right side of the danger area... GOAL!!! Azeez heads in from Bover's free-kick! 4-3 to the Addicks!
Biggest win of the season yet- you really have to think after a victory like that the whole team will now be full of confidence and push on to win the league!
Full Time! Margate 3-4 CAFC Goals for us: Clarke x2 Hayes and Azeez.... Great game and a good run out for the seniors and youngsters... we're still on for the double!! haa
haha my bad i did!! wahheyyyy possibly 3 peices of silverware this season! Tuesday 31st January Dartford v Tunbridge winner of that will face us in the semi's! Now all we need is Palace to get beat by Cardiff in E/T or Pens................... And tonight will be sweet!
Looks like Clarke, Stephens, Wagstaff, Hayes, and maybe Evina will get a run-out in one of the next two matches. I would pair BWP with Hayes in one of them and Clarke with Kermit in the other, with Haynes on the bench for both matches. As Hughes didn't play tonight I am guessing he will start against Exeter, though whether to rest Hollands or Pritchard I couldn't say.
Letting in 3 goals is a bit disappointing, but on the plus side the team got a real game which they really had to work for, so probably much more useful in terms of match fitness than a reserve 'friendly'.
